Who's Writing "Total Recall" Remake? You May Recall Him

As we told you in February (click here for the full story), "Total Recall" is being remade. We now know who the writer is going to be.

His name is Kurt Wimmer, the guy who gave us "Street Kings" and he also wrote "Salt," the upcoming film starring Angelina Jolie. He also penned the upcoming "Law Abiding Citizen" starring Gerald Butler.

As far as the plot? Columbia Pictures is saying that it's going to be a "contemporized adaptation" of Philip K. Dick's story "We Can Remember It for You Wholesale," the same basis of the original "Total Recall" film.

The writer-director won Oscars for Best Picture and Best Original Screenplay for "Crash," a film distributed by Lionsgate.

"Where's Waldo?" the Movie Will Appear in Theaters Near You!

Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment found "Where's Waldo?"

The books, if you remember, have full-page illustrations where you try to find the main character dressed in his normal garb -- red-and white shirt, hat, glasses, and a walking stick.

Now, Waldo will be found in a live-action family picture!

No word yet on actors or creative team but do you remember the cartoon based on the book franchise? No? Well, here's the intro to help you remember. :wink
