"Star Trek" Movie Review! See Why I'm Calling This Film the Best Movie of the Summer So Far...

In the “Star Trek” universe, “The Undiscovered Country” to be exact, Spock (Leonard Nimoy) once asked Capt. Kirk (William Shatner) if they have “outlived their usefulness.” Have no fear folks, in the new “Star Trek” reboot, director J.J. Abrams found a way to make all the characters useful once again.

The greatest aspect of the film is its intelligent script. Like Spock, the screenplay is part emotional, part logical and 100% amazing! Abrams’ film boldly goes where no other remakes have gone before. He actually made a compelling and fresh film from a source material that’s over forty years old. Read More...

Here you go! My fun interviews with Bruce Greenwood (Capt. Christopher Pike), John Cho (Sulu), Anton Yelchin (Chekov), and Eric Bana (Nero).

I'll post my review later, but for now, let me just give you a hint that "Star Trek" is one of the best movies this summer, so far!

Have fun! :happy

Mister Bruce Greenwood is such a sweetheart in person! He plays Capt. Christopher Pike in the upcoming film "Star Trek."

We talked about his role, the optimistic view of the "Star Trek" future, and the dramatic entrance given to the great Leonard Nimoy!

Anton Yelchin was such a trooper! He was sick when I interviewed him for "Star Trek," but he and John Cho made a great team! We talked about their roles, stepping into some pretty big shoes, how did they prepare, and the good, old "Star Trek" optimism. Yes, I did ask them about Trekker vs. Trekkie! Have fun!

Christina Aguilera to Star in Titillating Musical "Burlesque"

Finally, Christina Aguilera finds a film to star in!

The songstress will make her screen debut in "Burlesque," a contemporary musical. Steven Antin will direct. He also wrote the script which was revised by Susannah Grant of "Erin Brockovich" fame.

Variety is saying that "Aguilera will play an ambitious smalltown girl with a big voice who finds love, family and success in a Los Angeles neo-burlesque club that appears to be right out of Bob Fosse's 'Cabaret.'"

Well, if it's a musical with a little bit of erotic twinge, then "Burlesque" is a perfect vehicle for Aguilera who hasn't made a full-feature film, except for her voice work for "Shark Tale."

So...Third "Twilight" Director, David Slade, Secretly Hated the Vampire Romance?

David Slade, the guy who gave us "30 Days of Night" is the chosen one to direct the third "Twilight" flick, "Eclipse."

But does Slade secretly despise the "Twilight" franchise? Judging from a recorded interview with the BDK movie show on WJFK in Washington, DC, Slade seemed to harbor disdain for the film.

But then again, this was from last year, before Slade heard he'd be directing the third film. He now sold his soul, and must prove to everyone that he can make the best "Twilight" film ever!

Here's a transcript of his rant courtesy of slashfilm.com:

…and so yesterday we were trying to find a movie to see and we’d seen all the good ones, you know, and there was nothing really coming out this weekend that we really fancied at all and having directed a vampire film and really gone for something completely different to the kind of romantic, you know, repressed hormone teen vampire movie we really weren’t interested in seeing Twilight but a lot of people said lets go so I wrote -

“Twilight drunk? No, not even drunk. Twilight on acid? No, not even on acid? Twilight at gun point? Just shoot me.”

[That’s like] a poem in a way [...] at this point excites me even though people think I’m a really violent and unpleasant person I actually do have this romantic violent side to me. Maybe I should have seen Twilight.

Uh-oh...If you want to hear this soundbite, click here.
