The Lovely Keira Knightley Opens Up About "Pirates of the Caribbean 4" and "My Fair Lady"

I adore Keira Knightley! She's an impressive, young actress who continues to make interesting films. So, I'm just sharing these two golden nuggets of information about the actress.

Knightley, interviewed by Moviefone, revealed her thoughts on "Pirates of the Caribbean 4," and "My Fair Lady."

Will you be taking your voice out for another spin in the musical remake of 'My Fair Lady'?

Hopefully -- fingers crossed. I auditioned for it about two years ago, and I think it's been a matter of trying to assemble the correct team to do it that is going to make as interesting a movie and as good a movie as possible. There are good whispers going around, you know, and hopefully they'll come to fruition.

Johnny Depp is in for 'Pirates of the Caribbean 4' -- do you have any interest in playing Elizabeth Swann again?

It was a completely fantastic experience, and it was an amazingly large portion of my life, but I don't think I need to go there again. I think that it's done. But I'm very excited to see the next one. And he is so wonderful in that character. I think it'll be wonderful.

Great decision on not doing "Pirates 4." I think the franchise came to a screeching halt with the third one. So unless the filmmakers can come up with a creative twist, "Pirates" may have reached at world's end.

I'm now looking forward to seeing Knightley singing "The Rain in Spain!" I think she has that good old, Audrey Hepburn charm!

Check out her complete interview right here.

I'm Officially Confused! Who's Directing the Third "Twilight" Film? Do We Really Care Now?

The name Juan Antonio Bayona, director of the excellent Spanish horror/thriller "El Orfanato" has been bandied about as THE 3rd "Twilight" franchise director for "Eclipse."

But now, the Los Angeles Times is saying, hold on, don't move too fast! Apparently, contributor Patrick Goldstein had:

"lunch today with Erik Feig, who’s president of production at Summit and the man most involved with managing the hit series of films. ("New Moon," the second film in the series, begins production later this month with Chris Weitz at the helm.)

Feig was shocked to see the media reports saying Summit had hired Bayona, since -- ahem -- they’re not true. "The 'Eclipse' directing job hasn’t been offered to Juan Antonio or anyone else," he told me. "We’ve met with three or four talented filmmakers and we’ll be meeting with three or four more other candidates before we make any decision. No one has been offered the job."

Read Goldstein's full report here, but I have a feeling Summit already made a decision, and, um, it's going to be Bayona! If Summit wants their franchise to be respectable...I'm just saying...

Pennywise to Terrorize Movie Theaters Near You! The New "IT" Big Screen Adaptation!

Are you excited as I am to see a new film based on the Stephen King Novel "It?" I enjoyed the 1990 ABC TV miniseries, it's like a pop culture touchstone of my younger years.

So now, I heard that Warner Bros. is doing "It," and they've hired Dave Kajganich to write the screenplay. Kajganich is also writing "Escape from New York" and he is also the scribe of the upcoming Joel Schumacher film, "Creek."

The one not-too-shining moment in Kajganich's resume? Well, he also wrote the 2007 craptacular "The Invasion" starring Nicole Kidman.

So hopefully, Kajganich will be able to intelligently adapt the story of seven children fighting the demon of their childhood, Pennywise!

No word yet on who's going to play the sinister clown.

"Journey to the Center of the Earth" the Sequel!

I was a bit lukewarm with "Journey to the Center of the Earth," and the Brendan Fraser-starrer didn't exactly shatter box-office records, so I was surprised to hear that New Line is planning a sequel!

The film is based on a script by Richard Outten called "Mysterious Travels: The Lost Map of Treasure Island." Apparently, Prof. Trevor Anderson (Fraser) and his nephew Sean (Josh Hutcherson) embark on a journey to...treasure island! This island is a one-for-all! It's the subject of three classic novels namely Jules Verne's "Mysterious Island," Robert Louis Stevenson's "Treasure Island" and Jonathan Swift's "Gulliver's Travels."

The director of the first film, Eric Brewig, is working with Outten on the script, although he hasn't committed yet. Fraser and Hutcherson have not said yes to the sequel either, so stay tuned...
