See Fun Excerpts of My “Anna Karenina” Interviews -- LOL Moments!

Before we started our respective “Anna Karenina” interviews, the stars (Jude Law, Keira Knightley, etc.) were getting ready, and I was trying to do my best to charm them, or wake them up, or both! So I always love using my excerpts because they’re fun! Take a look at this clip where I gallanted the “Anna Karenina” folks with my Manny Karenina bit – see the publicist with Domhnall Gleeson believing that my real name was Manny Karenina (yup, LOL), and Jude Law talking about my hair!

Have Fun!

Keira Knightley Talks About "Anna Karenina!' She's Divine!

Keira Knightley has always been a fun interviewee. She’s smart, witty, and sweet. In her new movie, “Anna Karenina,” the actress plays the title role with much gusto inhabiting the role of a woman who will do anything for love. In this interview, conducted at the Toronto International Film Festival, we talked about:

How did she get attracted to making “Anna Karenina?”
The complex character of Anna Karenina
How her judgment of Anna Karenina, the character, changed through the years
How she prepared for the role – her addiction to post-it notes!
What’s her favorite costume in the film?
Will she die for love?
What’s next for Miss Keira Knightley? Jack Ryan!

My Fun "Anna Karenina" Interview with the Lovely Jude Law!

I love Jude Law! He was a sweetheart in person, and very in-depth and astute. I love seeing him in roles like Karenin in the romantic drama “Anna Karenina” because it challenges him as an actor. Sure, he’s fantastic in the “Sherlock Holmes” movies, but his inner character actor shines in roles with brevity.

In this interview, we talked about:

His role of Karenin and why he loves challenging himself
Why this adaptation is better than previous “Anna Karenina” adaptations
The many faces of love – a movie about love
How did he prepare for the role?
Will he die for love?

Director Joe Wright Talks About “Anna Karenina”

Director Joe Wright is a good storyteller. From “Pride and Prejudice” to “Hanna,” he evokes emotion through visuals and expressive use of audio (remember the typewriter sound effects in “Atonement?”). The director is back, and reteams with his “Atonement” muse, Keira Knightley, for the fantastic romantic drama, “Anna Karenina.” In this interview:

What made him want to use the movable set pieces
How his set became part of the character ensemble
What made him want to do a big screen version of one of the greatest stories of all time?
How the film, like the book, left us all hanging
The realization of the character Levin
The many faces of love
The film’s resonating line – will you die for love – will Joe Wright die for love?
The anti-heroine in all of us

Domhnall Gleeson Talks About “Anna Karenina”

I’ve always been a fan of Domhnall Gleeson since I saw him as Bill Weasley in the “Harry Potter” films. Besides appearing in the films about our favorite boy wizard, Domhnall has also starred in films like “True Grit” and “Dredd 3D.” In “Anna Karenina,” opening in select theaters on Friday, Nov. 16th, Gleeson stars as Levin, a memorable character which Domhnall dives into. By the way, it’s been widely reported that the character of Levin was author Leo Tolstoy’s homage to himself.

In this interview, we talked about:

Mr. Bill Weasley is all grown up
How did he get interested in playing Levin?
My favorite scene in the movie with him
How did he prepare for the role?
Working with the movable set
All the dancing in the film
The many faces of love
The film’s resonating line – will you die for love – will Domhnall Gleeson die for love?
What’s next for Domhnall Gleeson?
I said goodbye to him saying “bye ginger” because he referenced that work in the beginning of our interview
