Here's more info on "Footloose" from Yahoo:

Ren MacCormack is transplanted from Boston to the small southern town of Bomont where he experiences a heavy dose of culture shock. A few years prior, the community was rocked by a tragic accident that killed five teenagers after a night out and Bomont's local councilmen and the beloved Reverend Shaw Moore responded by implementing ordinances that prohibit loud music and dancing. Not one to bow to the status quo, Ren challenges the ban, revitalizing the town and falling in love with the minister's troubled daughter Ariel in the process.

See New Trailer of Crossdressing Glenn Close Movie "Albert Nobbs!"
This is a fantastic Oscar-bait of a film! The Academy loves crossdressers, "Tootsie," "Yentl," "Victor Victoria," "The Crying Game," okay maybe not "Just One of the Guys" but still. "Albert Nobbs" is getting major Oscar buzz and it's largely because of Glenn Close's performance. We definitely love her, maybe we'll love her more as a woman who poses as a man and then tries to escape all the lies! Drama!

Will "The Lone Ranger" Finally Giddyup on February 6, 2012?

First, Johnny Depp and Armie Hammer were all set to star as Tonto and the Lone Ranger, respectively, for Disney's big screen version of the iconic TV western. Then...it was scrapped.

Afterwards, we were hearing that Disney asked Depp, uber-producer Jerry Bruckheimer, and director Gore Verbinski to take some pay cuts because the production budget is getting bigger and bigger by the minute. It's a risky $250-million investment since truth be told, moviegoers are just not interested in the western genre anymore. "Cowboys & Aliens" anyone?

By the way, do they really need $250 million to make "The Lone Ranger?" Really?

But now, Deadline is saying that Disney "has set The Lone Ranger to start production February 6, 2012."

We'll see if this is true. By the time the movie hits theaters we've all walked into the sunset...away from the film!

Jim Carrey Joins Steve Carell in Magician Comedy that Sounds a Lot Like "The Prestige!"

So Deadline told us that Jim Carrey is in talks to star with Steve Carell for New Line's "Burt Wonderstone." This one will be directed by Don Scardino and Carell will play the title role. He's a Las Vegas magician who leaves his longtime stage partner only to find himself upstaged by a rival hip street magician. I told you it's like a contemporary albeit comedy version of Christopher Nolan's "The Prestige." So Carell is like the Hugh Jackman character and maybe Carrey will be the Christian Bale magician, only funnier.

Another "Paranormal Activity 3" Trailer! The Hype Won't Stop, But I Love This Franchise!
Yes, I'm looking forward to seeing the third installment of the "Paranormal Activity" franchise. I enjoyed the first two, so we'll see if the "Catfish" team of Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman will give justice to the beloved horror baby of Oren Peli.
