Kathryn Bigelow's "The Hurt Locker" took home the top prize at the 15th Annual Critics' Choice Movie Awards! The Iraq-war drama won Best Picture and Bigelow received Best Director.
James Cameron, Bigelow's ex-husband and fellow best director contender, did not take home the helmer trophy but "Avatar" took six trophies for best action movie, cinematography, art direction, editing, sound and visual effects.
In the Best Actress category, Meryl Streep and Sandra Bullock shared the award. Streep for "Julie and Julia" and Bullock for "The Blind Side."
Jeff Bridges took home the Best Actor award for his down-in-the-dumps country singer performance in "Crazy Heart." Meanwhile, critics favorites Mo'Nique took home the Best Supporting Actress trophy for "Precious" and Christoph Waltz won Best Supporting Actor for "Inglourious Basterds."
Saoirse Ronan won Best Young Actor/Actress for "The Lovely Bones."
It was an enchanted evening at the Hollywood Palladium and I was very happy that my votes were about 95% aligned with my fellow critics

Here's the latest EXCLUSIVE from VH1 about the Critics' Choice Movie Awards...and don't forget to watch!
The Critics Choice Movie Awards isnt known for drama. Its known for its uncanny tendency to predict Oscar winners. Thats why Adam Lambert and Sarah Silverman presenting an award together at the show might feel like a wolf pack of two casing a herd of fenced-in sheep. Need we remind you that Good Morning America recently cut an upcoming Adam Lambert performance after his same sex AMAs kiss? Remember Sarah dissing both Paris Hilton and Hollywood at the MTV Movie Awards? Now we have two of Americas most provocative mainstream personalities on the same stage at the same time talking to a captive group of Hollywoods elite. And we havent even mentioned that Tracy Morgan is also presenting!
Additional higlights of the show: Nick Jonas & The Administration will serve as the Critics Choice house band; special tribute will be paid to recently deceased director John Hughes by John Krasinski, Amy Poehler and Death Cab for Cutie, which will perform Dont You (Forget About Me) from The Breakfast Club; and Kevin Bacon will be presented with a philanthropic award by no less than Meryl Streep. Additional presenters include Will Arnett, Jason Bateman, Kristen Bell, Emily Blunt, Cedric the Entertainer, Bradley Cooper, Rob Corddry, Abbie Cornish, Josh Duhamel, Zac Efron, Vera Farmiga, Heather Graham, Ed Helms, Samuel L. Jackson, Ken Jeong, Tobey Maguire, Amy Poehler, Craig Robinson, Zoe Saldana and Susan Sarandon.
Hosted by Kristin Chenoweth, Critics Choice will air live on VH1 Friday, Jan. 15 at 9:00PM ET. Check back here as we live-blog the show with our partner sites, including AOLs Moviefone, The Envelope, The Huffington Post, BestWeekEver and fashion experts Refinery29. Many twihards have been wondering when the fourth installment of the super-popular "Twilight" franchise will go on production. Well, apparently, scriptwriter Melissa Rosenberg (who wrote all the "Twilight" films) is currently busy adapting "Breaking Dawn" and producers believe the film could being shooting this fall.
But there are two bigger questions -- first, will the fourth film be divided into two parts ala "Harry Potter" and second, how will the character Renesmee be portrayed?
For die-hard "Twilight" book lovers, they all know that Renesmee is the half-human/half-vampire daughter of Edward (Robert Pattinson) and Bella (Kristen Stewart) who grows super-quick than the average human kid.
Wyck Godfrey, one of the producers of the "Twilight" films said the answer to the Renesmee dilemma lies in "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button."
Curious?
