Coming Soon to Theaters Near You, John Edwards the Movie!

Aaron Sorkin has acquired the rights to the book "The Politician: An Insider's Account of John Edwards' Pursuit of the Presidency and the Scandal That Brought Him Down" by Andrew Young.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Sorkin will make his feature directorial debut with the project, which he will also write and produce.

The book chronicles Edwards' 2008 presidential primary run, and of course, the salacious scandal involving his mistress and their child. Intriguing!

And no other than Sorkin, "The West Wing" creator, is best to handle this film.

Sorkin told THR, "This is a first-hand account of an extraordinary story filled with motivations, decisions and consequences that would have lit Shakespeare up...There's much more to Andrew's book than what has been reported, and I'm grateful that he's trusting me with it."

Sorkin wrote the screenplay for David Fincher's "The Social Network" about our favorite social networking site Facebook, and he also co-wrote the adaptation of "Moneyball."

"Dark Shadows" Movie Sees Light of Day, Tim Burton and Johnny Depp Still Attached!

This has been a long gestating project. Back in 2008, we told you that Tim Burton was set to direct his perennial favorite, Johnny Depp, in the big screen version of the classic TV show.

Now, I'm hearing that Seth Grahame-Smith has been hired to write the script! Grahame-Script is the author of the book I'm reading now, "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter." He also wrote "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies" which Lionsgate has optioned and attached David O. Russell to direct, and Natalie Portman to star as Elizabeth Bennett.

According to Deadline, Burton is still set to direct "Dark Shadows" and Johnny Depp is still attached to star as the vampire Barnabas Collins. The film is slated to begin production in January at Warner Bros. Depp’s Infinitum Nihil and Graham King’s GK Films are producing.

"Dark Shadows" was a gothic soap opera from the 60s about the Collins family and their friends, and all the strange occurrences that happen to them involving vampires, witches, werewolves, and such. Sort of like "Twilight" but original :happy

Meryl Streep and Stanley Tucci to Reunite with Help from Tina Fey!

Meryl Streep and Stanley Tucci made movie magic in "The Devil Wears Prada" and "Julie & Julia," now, the pair may reunite but this time, Tucci will be behind the camera.

According to the LA Times, Tucci will direct Streep and Tina Fey in a project tentatively titled "Mommy & Me." There's no script or writers attached yet, but this will be a mother-daughter dramedy.

The project is still being shopped around, but this has great potential. Imagine all the mothers and daughters flocking to the cinema to watch the comedic and dramatic fireworks unleashed by Streep and Fey!

I Love the "Green Lantern" Costume, Don't You?

It's been a great week to be a geek, my, my, Comic-Con is just around the corner! But you don't have to wait for the greatest geek convention to take a sneak peek at "Green Lantern's" outfit. Entertainment Weekly is catering to the geeks in us by showing an exclusive, behind the scenes look at "Green Lantern" starring Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan aka the Green Lantern.

I love the suit! It's an organic part of Jordan's body, as opposed to a green suit. This one's a living, breathing costume, and makes the mythological ring appear to be more...magical!

I can't wait for Reynolds to utter these famous words:

In brightest day, in blackest night,
No evil shall escape my sight
Let those who worship evil's might,
Beware my power... Green Lantern's light!
