Jake Gyllenhaal Talks About “End of Watch,” and Dancing!

Okay, here’s the unabashed truth – my new man crush is Jake Gyllenhaal! Sorry for jumping on the bandwagon a bit late, but I had to meet him first prior to declaring my love for the actor! Well, I met him at the Toronto International Film Festival for his fantastic film “End of Watch,” and boy, I fell in love, not just with Gyllenhaal but with the movie! It rocks!

In the film, Gyllenhaal stars as Brian Taylor, a new officer assigned in South Central L.A. Together with his partner, Mike Zavala (Michael Pena), the duo ventured into the wild streets of LA to serve and protect. Honestly? I’ve never felt this intense watching a movie since “Silence of the Lambs!”

In this interview, we talked about:

*** Before starting my interview, I told him I was wonderfully blessed – watch his face lit up!
*** When he first read the script, what did he think?
*** How he developed his palpable chemistry with Michael Pena?
*** The multiple camera technique used in the film
*** His dancing in the film to Push It!

Have fun!

Michael Pena Talks About “End of Watch” and Working with Jake Gyllenhaal

I’ve always believed that Michael Pena is a great character actor since watching him in 2004’s “Crash.” Since then, the actor’s star continues to shine, turning in memorable performances in “World Trade Center” and “The Lincoln Lawyer.” In “End of Watch,” he plays Jake Gyllenhaal’s partner. This film is riveting! One of the best films of 2012! In this interview, we talked about:

*** His interest in making “End of Watch”
*** What he did when he failed his audition to be in the movie
*** How he found his character
*** Working with Jake Gyllenhaal and creating a palpable chemistry with him
*** What it means to be a hero?

Have fun!

*** The script, the way it was shot
*** Anna Kendrick’s sex scene with Jake Gyllenhaal
*** Natalie Martinez’s confidence as an actress
*** And finally, what the heck is a gooch? Texas Twister? Find out in the movie!
