Crikey! "Australia" is Actually....

Good! I saw an advanced press screening last night, and let me tell ya...it's epic alright!

As far as the ending? It works!

I know, all these talks about the controversial ending, and the one that director Baz Luhrmann chose worked with the story.

But the breakout star from the film? Brandon Walters as Nullah, the young boy who's part white/part aborigines -- certainly, one of the best Child Actors of 2008.

I will post my full review on Monday, but for now, just trust me, you will like the movie.

"Bolt" Movie Review -- How Many Kisses Does the Lovable Canine Get?

In recent years, Walt Disney Pictures’ animated films do not match the quality of the movies the studio makes in collaboration with Pixar Animation. If the flick does not have Pixar’s stamp of approval, chances are it’s not that great.

I hate to sound elitist but just this year alone, the Disney/Pixar movie “WALL-E” trumps even those highly-rated animated films such as “Dr. Seuss’ Horton Hears a Who” and “Kung Fu Panda.”

The reason I’m putting “Bolt” under my Pixar magnifying glass is because the movie is the first Walt Disney Animation Studios film that’s conceived and produced under the guidance of John Lasseter, the Oscar-winning director of “Toy Story,” “A Bug’s Life,” “Toy Story 2,” and “Cars.” Read More...

Universal to Remake "The Host"

I love "The Host." It was one of my favorite films of 2007.

Hollywood should learn how to make monster movies from Korean director BONG Joon-ho. The set-up, the thrills, the action, the complete package is similar to the nail-biting intensity of "Jaws."

So surprise, surprise, Universal wants a remake!

Just a word of advice, be great :happy
