So what is Raimi going to do?

HOW MANY DEMONIC KISSES DOES "SWEENEY TODD" GET? READ MY MOVIE REVIEW!!!

I remember watching “Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street” starring Angela Lanbury as Mrs. Nellie Lovett. I think the show was a PBS special, and the production’s haunting music became the soundtrack of my prepubescent life. The pathos and the dark, brooding theme awakened my inner goth.

Years later, I saw the Broadway revival with the great Patti Lupone. It was a darker and bloodier take on the Stephen Sondheim musical, and its melancholic theme left me cold. Then I heard director Tim Burton was planning a film adaptation with his perennial muse, Johnny Depp. I was dancing with glee, until I watched the film.
