John Hughes, director of iconic 80s films such as "The Breakfast Club" and "Pretty in Pink" is back, sort of. He is credited for co-writing the story of the new film, "Drillbit Taylor," under the pseudonym Edmond Dantes. Read More...

The new James Bond flick, "Quantum of Solace," will open in the U.K. on Oct. 31, a week ahead of its Nov. 7 bow in the U.S.
Other European countries will get to see Bond first before Americans.
France and Belgium will bow the pic on Nov. 5, Netherlands and Germany on Nov. 6, and Spain and Italy will see the film the same time we do right here in the good U.S. of A. on Nov. 7.
"Quantum of Solace" is a sequel of sorts to "Casino Royale" with Daniel Craig back in the title role of the British superspy. If you remember, Vesper Lynd (Eva Green) betrayed him, and now, Bond is on a revenge mission that takes him to Austria, Italy, and South America.
I'm a big Bond fan, and a Daniel Craig fan, so I'm very excited!!!

The good news is, production for "Justice League Mortal" resumes. The bad news? It may not be shot where its originally planned, in Australia.
Director George Miller ("Happy Feet," "Babe") goes public to pressure the Australian government to give his production company a 40% rebate on qualifying below-the-line costs or he'll shoot the film in Canada or New Zealand.
"That shows how rigid the thinking is here in Australia; that's working to a paradigm that's 30 years old and brought down the Australian film industry," Miller said to Variety.
"I'm dancing as fast as I can with the studio to have them hang on here. We're going to appeal it because it's not just ‘Justice League,’ we have other films with Australian directors."
