Alright "Twilight" Fans, "New Moon" Shoot Continues as Planned, Summit Confirms!

I think we might have broken a million hearts by posting the story yesterday about "New Moon's" bleak future. We heard "Twilight" author Stephenie Meyer is being sued by her former roommate, Heidi Stanton, who claimed the novelist stole her idea for the vampire romance.

Stanton's move might have halted the production of "The Twilight Saga: New Moon" BUT have no fear Twihards! "New Moon" is moving forward!

A spokesperson from Summit Entertainment told me that the company is 100% supporting the film, and that shooting remains on schedule to meet its November 20 release date!

Another yay!

So have no fear folks, "The Twilight Saga: New Moon" is currently shooting in Vancouver and there is no delay!

Sorry Mrs. Stanton, you're foiled again!

Christian Bale Joins Mark Wahlberg for "The Fighter"

I think it's a great cast -- Christian Bale and Mark Wahlberg -- with a great director, David O. Russell ("Three Kings," "I Heart Huckabees").

The film they're set to work on is called "The Fighter" about a Boston fighter "Irish" Mickey Ward and how his half-brother Dicky Eklund helped him enter the world of lightweight championship.

But before Bale entered the "Fighter" ring, Wahlberg was set to co-star with Matt Damon for director Darren Aronofsky ("The Wrestler"). Then Damon dropped out, and Brad Pitt was going to replace him, but the film still stalled. So, Aronofsky moved on.

Now, it seems like the Bale-Wahlberg-Russell troika will see the movie into fruition BUT Relativity Media, the film's financier, said it's still negotiating with the principals. Uh-oh.

"The Nye Incidents" -- From Comic Book to Big-Screen

Dark Castle, the Warner Bros.-based horror label, is going to adapt the graphic novel "The Nye Incidents" from horror author Whitley Strieber.

The novelist is best known for "The Wolfen" and "The Hunger." Both were adapted into films.

"The Nye Incidents" is supposedly based on true events about a medical examiner who's been hunting down the killer of alien abductees.

Todd Lincoln is set to direct. But, there's no script yet. As we said before, it all begins with the written word.

Comedian Demetri Martin, Baseball Players Join Brad Pitt in "Moneyball"

As we told you in February, Director Steven Soderbergh and Brad Pitt are teaming up once again for "Moneyball." It's the adaptation of the Michael Lewis book "Moneyball: The Art of Winning an Unfair Game."

Now, the director/actor duo have found a co-star in Demetri Martin, from Comedy Central's "Important Things with Demetri Martin."

Former Oakland A's team members David Justice and Scott Hatteberg will play themselves in the film. Daryl Strawberry and Lenny Dykstra will also be seen on camera being interviewed.

According to Variety, Martin will play Paul De Podesta, a Harvard grad who turned down Wall Street jobs to use his statistical skills to change baseball scouting tactics. His system, known as "Earned Run Value," allowed Beane to evaluate valuable players he could hire at low cost.

Before "Moneyball" though, Martin will be first seen in the Ang Lee-directed flick, "Taking Woodstock" for Focus Features on August 14.
