"The Wolverine" Movie Review -- How Many Kisses Does Hugh Jackman Get?

Hugh Jackman returns for the seventh time as Logan/Wolverine in Marvel’s “The Wolverine,” a superhero movie that is really more about being a hero than being super. This time, the adventure takes our hero to Japan to say goodbye to a dying billionaire named Yashida. But it’s not just a friendly visit. Joining Jackman in the cast are Haruhiko Yamanouchi, Tao Okamoto, Rila Fukushima, Hiroyuki Sanada, Will Yun Lee, Brian Tee, and Svetlana Khodchenkova. Famke Janssen also returns to the franchise as Jean Grey, the love of Logan’s life.

And pssst, two characters from the “X-Men” franchise also return for “The Wolverine” Easter Egg found mid-credits.

Directed by James Mangold (“Walk the Line,” “3:10 to Yuma”), is “The Wolverine” worth all the hype? Take a look at my review below:

Michael B. Jordan Talks About “Fruitvale Station,” “Fantastic Four,” and the “Rocky” Spinoff!

I love “Fruitvale Station.” The Sundance and Cannes Film Festival darling deserves all the accolades in the world. The film tells the true-life story of Oscar Grant, a 22-year old Oakland, California resident who was fatally shot by BART police officers in the early morning hours of New Year’s Day 2009.

We will be seeing more of “Fruitvale Station” once the Oscar season is upon us! Mark my words! Writer/director Ryan Coogler created a thought-provoking, deeply emotional movie with a strong performance by Michael B. Jordan as its centerpiece.

I was fortunate enough to interview Jordan live via satellite and we talked about:

*** How “Fruitvale Station” came about? Did Coogler write the script with Jordan in mind? And how did he come across the unbelievable story of Grant?
*** Did they know that they were making a very special movie that would win the top prize at Sundance?
*** Jordan’s great choices in acting – from NBC’s “Friday Night Lights,” to “Chronicle” and “Red Tails.” What about the rumor that he was going to star as Johnny Storm in the upcoming “Fantastic Four” reboot?
*** What about the talk of the week – the “Rocky” spinoff known as “Creed” where Jordan will team up with Coogler once again to play Apollo Creed’s grandson? (Sylvester Stallone will be his trainer)

Jordan is a very down-to-earth actor who deserves all the recognition he’s getting for “Fruitvale Station.” And yes, we’ll see him at the Oscars!

Impressive! Second Trailer for "Gravity" and the Single-Shot Scene! All the Floating Astronauts You Need to See in One Sitting!

Warner Bros. is banking heavily on their Oscar hopeful, "Gravity," from writer/director Alfonso Cuaron starring Sandra Bullock and George Clooney. Bullock even made her very first appearance at Comic-Con last weekend to help promote the movie which many are saying it's not just an Oscar hopeful, it will be a contender!

And now, you can see the single-shot scene of "Gravity" which validates the reports that the movie's opening is one continuous, 17-minute take according to the Huffington Post.

Here's the single-shot scene:

And here's the second trailer of "Gravity" called "Drifting" which is set to open on Oct. 4th! I can't wait!

Finally, "47 Ronin" Trailer is Here!

Universal Pictures has finally given us the trailer for "47 Ronin," the Keanu Reeves samurai flick that has been suffering many setbacks as of late. The rumored $200 million movie from director Carl Rinsch is locked for a Christmas Day release which is already crowded with the opening of "Jack Ryan," "American Hustle," "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty," "Grudge Match," "Labor Day," and "August: Osage County."

Good luck to Universal Pictures which is still reeling from their other big-budget flop, "R.I.P.D." But the studio also made gazillions of dollars with "Fast & Furious 6" and "Despicable Me 2."

And maybe, just maybe, people still love Keanu and are soooo into Samurai movies. Right?

And the trailer looks good! With big special effects that will make your Christmas Day this year a tad more precious! HA!

Here's the official synopsis of "47 Ronin" and co-starring with Keanu are Hiroyuki Sanada, Ko Shibasaki, Tadanobu Asano, Rinko Kikuchi, and Min Tanaka.

Kai is an outcast who joins Oishi, the leader of the 47 outcast samurai. Together they seek vengeance upon the treacherous overlord who killed their master and banished their kind. To restore honor to their homeland, the warriors embark upon a quest that challenges them with a series of trials that would destroy ordinary warriors.

Here's the trailer:

Finnick Shirtless! New "Hunger Games: Catching Fire" Picture!

Because apparently, you want to see Finnick Odair aka Sam Claflin shirtless. Finnick is one of the previous champions who must return to the arena for the Quarter Quell.

In the book, Finnick is a handsome man who uses his charms to win over other contestants. And he's wearing a very revealing fishing net costume in this scene according to THR. How revealing? Find out when "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" opens Nov. 22.
