WHY 2007 IS A GREAT YEAR FOR MOVIE BUFFS LIKE YOU AND ME!!!
A BIG BRAVO FOR THE FILM INDUSTRY!!!

I have been re-watching my favorite films of 2007. Truth be told, it is how I have been spending the last two weeks of my life. Why? Because there are far too many great movies this year, and I wanted to make sure I am making the right choices. If I was picking the Top 20 films of the year, it would have been easier but I had to narrow it down to the Top 10 – so, goodbye “The Bourne Ultimatum,” so long “Enchanted,” adios “3:10 to Yuma.”

For those skeptics who have been asking where all the great movies went, look no further than this year. 2007 has been a banner year for movies and movie lovers! From “No Country for Old Men” to “There Will Be Blood,” personal vision triumphed over big productions. The directors of these films did not hire a gaggle of scriptwriters, they wrote their own movies!

As we celebrate the arrival of a bigger and better 2008, let’s take a special look back at the films that inspired, entertained, and made us believe again in the magic of the movies.

WHERE I'M SPENDING MY HOLIDAY SEASON!!!
I'm a midwest boy at heart, and I'm glad to be back right here to celebrate Christmas with my mommy.

So where am I spending my Christmas?

Well...Branson, Missouri, of course!!!

The land of Dixie Stampede, Dolly Parton, and Andy Williams.

I used to joke that Branson is like Las Vegas for toothless people...but kidding aside...I love it here...it's peaceful, quiet, and everyone is genuinely nice!

I love the Trail of Lights...and I told my mommy that I'm taking her to Eureka Springs, AK because there's supposed to be a haunted hotel there. Eureka Springs is about one hour from Branson, and I looove ghost stories.

But that's halloween...for now...MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM BRANSON, MISSOURI!!!!!

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE NEW "RAMBO" -- IF YOU CARE!!!

Are you excited to see the new "Rambo" film? If you answered no, I don't blame you. Why is Sylvester Stallone rehashing his glory days? The last "Rocky" wasn't bad, but it didn't top the quality of the original.

But still, I had many people asking me about the new "Rambo" flick, so I did my research, and here's what I found:

1) The film is written and directed by Mr. Rambo himself, Sylsvester Stallone.
2) It's a joint collaboration between Lionsgate and The Weinstein Company
3) It's opening in the US on January 25th.

"Rambo" also has had many working titles, some of them have been:

John Rambo Italy / USA (working title)
Rambo 4 Singapore (English title)
Rambo IV USA (working title)
Rambo IV: End of Peace USA (working title)
Rambo IV: Holy War USA (working title)
Rambo IV: In the Serpent's Eye USA (working title)
Rambo IV: Pearl of the Cobra USA (working title)
Rambo: To Hell and Back USA (working title)

And here's the plot outline, courtesy of IMDB.com:

In Thailand, John Rambo (Stallone) assembles a group of mercenaries and leads them up the Salween River to a Burmese village where a group of Christian aid workers allegedly went missing.

AND IF YOU WANT MORE, HERE'S THE TRAILER!!!

BORAT IS DEAD!!!

The character, that is.

Sacha Baron Cohen tells The Daily Telegraph that he's retiring the clueless Kazakh journalist, as well as his alter ego, aspiring rapper Ali G.

Here's what Cohen says about his love for the characters:

"When I was being Ali G and Borat I was in character sometimes 14 hours a day and I came to love them, so admitting I am never going to play them again is quite a sad thing," the 36-year-old actor-comedian says in the British newspaper's Friday edition.

"It is like saying goodbye to a loved one. It is hard, and the problem with success, although it's fantastic, is that every new person who sees the Borat movie is one less person I `get' with Borat again, so it's a kind of self-defeating form, really."

BUT COHEN DIDN'T SAY ANYTHING SPECIFIC ON WHY HE'S RETIRING THE CHARACTERS!

We can create speculations:

1) Could it be because Cohen is now a movie star? He's currently co-starring in "Sweeney Todd" with Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter as a singing Italian barber, Pirelli.

2) Could it be because of the numerous lawsuits "Borat" creators received from unwilling participants in the film?

When asked by The Associated Press about the "deaths" of Borat and Ali G, Cohen's spokesman, Matt Labov, did not immediately return phone and e-mail messages.

But good news, Cohen's other funny character, Bruno, the flamboyant Austrian fashionista, will take his show to America! The film is currently in pre-production, and is going to be produced by Universal Pictures.
