"Milk" Triumphant at 20th Annual GLAAD Media Awards

"Milk" took home the top prize for best feature at the 20th Annual GLAAD Media Awards.

The GLAAD Media Awards recognize and honor media for their fair, accurate and inclusive representations of the lesbian, gay, bisexual & transgender community and the issues that affect their lives.

The film's Oscar-winning screenwriter Dustin Lance Black and AIDS activist Cleve Jones presented Bishop Gene Robinson with the Stephen F. Kolzak Award. Robinson is the first openly gay Bishop in the history of Episcopal church.

In the TV world, "Desperate Housewives" took the top prize for best comedy, while "Brothers & Sisters" won for best drama. Both shows are produced by ABC.

Meanwhile, she's no longer living on the D-List, Kathy Griffin was given the Vanguard Award for her support of the gay community. Yay!

And remember the FunnyorDie.com's "Prop 8: The Musical?" The funny bit was given special recognition, and it's totally deserving! If you haven't seen it, see for yourself :happy
