Another Dr. Seuss Book to Make Its Way to the Big Screen!

Universal Pictures is getting ready to adapt the Dr. Seuss book "The Lorax" and turn it into a 3-D CG animated feature!

The film will be co-directed by Chris Renaud, Cinco Paul, and Ken Daurio. Paul and Daurio, who wrote "Dr. Seuss' Horton Hears a Who," are set to write the script.

Published in 1971, "The Lorax" is deemed to be a fable about human's impact on the environment. The Lorax in the title is a "mossy, bossy man-like creature resembling an emperor tamarin." He becomes the champion of the trees against the big bad Once-ler.

"Dr. Seuss' The Lorax" has a target release date of March 2, 2012, which by the way, falls on the birthday of Theodor Geisel aka Dr. Seuss.
