Why Bryan Singer Will NOT Direct "X-Men: First Class"

Back in December, Twentieth Century Fox confirmed that Bryan Singer was directing "X-Men: First Class" which was good because the first two Singer-directed "X-Men" films were the strongest!

Now, Singer and the studio both agreed that the director is instead sliding to the producer's chair instead according to Deadline Hollywood.

Why? Because Singer is already committed to directing "Jack the Giant Killer" for Warner Bros. which will start production this summer. The good news for "X-Men" fans is Fox liked the script that Jamie Moss wrote that they wanted to start making the film right away!

Fox wants this "X-Men" to be the first of a trilogy to be ready for 2011!

No cast, no definite director yet, I say, good luck!
