
Moviegoers found "Despicable Me" well, not quite despicable. The first foray of Universal Pictures into the 3-D animated territory made an estimated $60.1 million at the box-office debuting at No. 1. (Check out my review of "Despicable Me" right here)
Previous weekend's box-office darling, "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse," slipped to No. 2 with $33.35 million and so far, has made $237 million in just its first 12 days. Industry experts are expecting the third installment to surpass the second flick, "New Moon," which grossed $296.6 million last year. (Check out my review of "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" right here)
Entering at No. 3 is "Predators" from producer Robert Rodriguez and director Nimrod Antal. Starring Adrien Brody, Laurence Fishburne, and Topher Grace, the reboot of the popular 80s franchise made a respectable $25.3 million. (Check out my review of "Predators" right here)
Here's the estimated list of the Top 10 box-office films for the weekend of July 9th:
1. "Despicable Me," $60.1 million.

5. "The Last Airbender," $17.15 million.
6. "Grown Ups," $16.4 million.
7. "Knight and Day," $7.85 million.

9. "The A-Team," $1.8 million.
10. "Cyrus," $1.4 million.
