"Men in Black 3" Shooting Now!

The third installment of "Men in Black" is now shooting in New York. Happy? The production will shoot through the week of Christmas, then shut down until the middle of February, when it will resume, according to the LA Times.

The 3-D film is written by Jeff Nathanson ("Catch Me If You Can," "Rush Hour 2") and he is working on a new draft of the script. He is suppose to work on the film's time-travel element ala "Back to the Future."

Apparently, Smith's Agent Jay will go back to 1969 where he meets a young Agent Kay played by Josh Brolin. Kay is the character that Tommy Lee Jones made famous.

Agent Jay will meet famous aliens such as Andy Warhol, Yoko Ono, and Jimi Hendrix. Huh, all aliens are counterculture icons?

"Men in Black 3" is set to open May 2012 with director Barry Sonnenfeld back at the helm.
