Once upon a time, we were kind of, sort of excited about Robert Zemeckis' planned 3D motion-capture remake of The Beatles' "Yellow Submarine."
Well, it's over, at least according to Disney.
After the Zemeckis-produced "Mars Needs Moms" flopped at the box-office (it opened at No. 5 with just $6.9 million with a reported budget of $150 million, yikes!), Disney said enough is enough and sunk the "Yellow Submarine."
Can you really blame the studio?
Now, Zemeckis is mulling over directing his first live-action film in more than a decade! His last one was the 2000 Tom Hanks-starrer "Cast Away."
I say yes! Enough of the whole motion-capture craptacular, and give us movies featuring real people.
