"The Hangover Part II" Breaks Records! Check Out Top 10 Box Office Films for Memorial Day Weekend! 


Thanks to the combo power of "The Hangover Part II" and "Kung Fu Panda 2," Hollywood set new revenue record of around $280 million for the holiday weekend!

And, "The Hangover Part II" set a new high for comedy debuting with $105.8 million over the Memorial Day weekend. So far, the R-rated comedy has raised its domestic total to $137.4 million since opening Thursday. Overseas, the sequel collected $60.3 million in 40 countries. ("The Hangover Part II" Movie Review)

It was a battle of the 2s at the box-office this weekend, but in the end, "Kung Fu Panda 2" must settle for second place, opening with $62.2 million. Since opening Thursday, the DreamWorks Animation sequel has raised its total to $68 million, with $57 million from 11 overseas markets. ("Kung Fu Panda 2" Movie Review)

Previous weekend's box-office champ, Disney's "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" fell to No. 3 with $50.4 million. Its domestic total is now up at $164 million, and its worldwide total? A resounding $649.1 million!

9. "Jumping the Broom," $2.35 million.
10. "Something Borrowed," $2.3 million.
