Michael Bay's Next Movie! He Wants to Feel "Pain & Gain" for Putting Us Through "Transformers!"

So "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" is lording over our Fourth of July weekend, and it's still up in the air if we get to see "Transformers 4." But now, the director wants to go off course and direct a film that's decidedly very un-"Transformers!" ("Transformers: Dark of the Moon" movie review)

His next project is going to be called "Pain & Gain" and as Bay told MTV News that it would be in the vein of Quentin Tarantino's "Pulp Fiction." This one is based on a true story about the Florida criminal underworld and the extortion and abductions that go with that whole criminal thingie. It's being billed as a dark comedy.

"Pain & Gain" will be budgeted around $20 million, and thank God, it's not going to be in 3D! Bay also revealed that he's hoping "Bad Boys 3" will come to fruition.

Do you think Bay can pull off a criminal dramedy? Does he have what it takes to beat Tarantino? I pretty much have given up on Bay as a director after "Transformers 3." Although I'm happy he's not doing another film that's all vibrantly visual but ultimately empty inside.
