It's Confirmed! Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger to Team Up for "The Tomb!"

Wow, it's like the 80s all over again! Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger teamed up briefly for "The Expendables," but now, the two are confirmed for "The Tomb!" Stallone is set to play a prison designer in this action thriller who becomes trapped in his own design so he calls Schwarzenegger's con-man for help.

Check out the full press release from ScreenRant:

THE TOMB follows Ray Breslin (Stallone) who is the world’s foremost authority on structural security. He’s analyzed every high security prison and has gained a vast array of survival skills. But all Ray’s ingenuity and knowledge are about to be put to work in the most challenging test he’s ever faced: escaping from the master prison of his own design.

Schwarzenegger, in the role of Church, plays a complex inmate with multiple shades of grey. He’s the guy who fights to keep the prisoners from losing their humanity in their darkest hour as they struggle together to stay alive.

Mikael Håfström, the Swedish director who gave us "1408" and "The Rite," is set to helm. The original script by Miles Chapman is being rewritten by Jason Keller who penned the upcoming "Mirror Mirror."

"The Tomb" from Summit Entertainment will begin filming this spring in Louisiana with a possible release date sometime next year.
