So I heard that the buzz surrounding Sacha Gervasi's "Hitchcock" is deafening that Fox Searchlight is very confident in entering the film for Oscar considerations. And now, according to THR, "Hitchcock" will make its world premiere on Nov. 1 as the opening-night movie of the AFI Fest 2012.

Directed by Gervasi ("Anvil! The Story of Anvil!") and written by John J. McLaughlin ("Black Swan") based on the book "Alfred Hitchcock and the Making of Psycho" by Stephen Rebello," the cast includes Anthony Hopkins as Sir Alfred Hitchcock, Helen Mirren as Hitchcock's wife and muse, Alma Reville, Scarlett Johansson as Janet Leigh, James D'Arcy as Anthony Perkins, and Jessica Biel as Vera Miles.
