From Environmentally-Friendly Dog Park to Unusual Musical Instruments, See My Fun Adventures This Week!
Monday started with my visit to a fun group of Cathedral City residents. They gathered together to build an enviromentally-friendly dog park! Take a look:
We also took the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge at our station, KMIR/NBC in Palm Springs:
Wednesday, we explored arts in education at Rancho Mirage High School and its Helene Galen Performing Arts Center. I was so happy and encouraged that students are still learning culture through arts!
We also explored the 2014 Make a Difference Day! Yes, I'll be walking bright and early this Saturday!
And this morning, Thursday, we explored the Chapman stick! It's a rare and unusual musical instrument that's part drums, piano, and more! Great artists like Pink Floyd and Peter Gabriel have used this instrument! Michael Kollwitz, a longtime Chapman stick musical artist, explains the instrument which is celebrating its 40th birthday this year!
So what am I doing tomorrow, Friday? It's all about movies! Coming up, my movie review of "If I Stay" starring Chloe Grace Moretz and Jamie Blackley. I visited Palm Springs High School so I could play the cello (just like in the movie)! So how many kisses does "If I Stay" get? Find out tomorrow!
