BRITNEY SPEARS -- MEMOIRS OF A MEDICATED CHILD?

Apparently, Miss Spears, the paparazzi magnet, is doing a film called "Memoirs of a Medicated Child."

What a fitting title, isn't it?

The movie even has a director assigned already, he's Tommy Parker, who really hasn't done a whole lot of writing or directing.

But wait there's more! There have been rumors that Canadian singer, Samantha Falk, is going to replace Spears. However, in a statement issued Friday, Falk announced her intention to back out of the film and maintains Spears is not part of the project.

She says, "After reading some of the articles and interviews, I would like to say officially at this point that I am removing myself from all dealings with this film/project. I do not appreciate being misled by Tommy Parker in this manner.

"To my knowledge Britney Spears is in no way attached to this film at this time. Tommy Parker can choose to say whatever he wants. However, myself along with my clients will not be a part of it!"

OLIVER STONE TO DIRECT JOSH BROLIN AS GEORGE W. BUSH!!!!

Oliver Stone, the controversial director who's made some searing films, has set his sights on his next directing project, "Bush," a film focusing on the life and presidency of George W. Bush, and attached Josh Brolin to play the title role.

The script is from his "Wall Street" co-writer Stanley Weiser.

Stone said he's not looking to make an anti-Bush film. His goal is to use seminal events in Bush's life to explain how he came to power, using a structure comparable to "The Queen."

Why did Stone choose Brolin to play the president? The director said, "Josh is actually better looking than Bush but has the same drive and charisma that Americans identify with Bush, who has some of that old-time movie-star swagger."

This is quite intriguing! I would love to see Stone humanize Bush, maybe make him a tad likeable and believable!

KEANU WILL PLAY KLAATU, THE HUMANOID ALIEN!!!!

I've always suspected Keanu to be a friend from another planet, and now, he's playing the humanoid alien Klaatu in the reinvention of, "The Day the Earth Stood Still."

Jaden Smith, the fantastic son of Will Smith who stole his father's acting thunder in "The Pursuit of Happyness," is co-starring as the rebellious Jacob, the 8-year-old stepson of scientist Helen Benson (Jennifer Connelly) who first makes contact with Keanu/Klaatu.

Scott Derrickson is directing the contemporary reinvention of the 1951 Fox classic being produced by Erwin Stoff, Gregory Goodman and Paul Boardman.

I love the original film, so let's see if Hollywood can match it. At least the remake has a great cast...
