The Razzies, the anti-Oscars, just announced the worst of the worst in Hollywood in 2007, one day before the Oscar nominations are revealed.

Lindsay Lohan's crap-tastic spectacular, "I Know Who Killed Me" led the nominations with 9 nods including 2, count that, 2 Worst Actress nominations for La Lohan. Why? It's for her dual roles in the movie!

WHAT I REALLY THINK OF "CLOVERFIELD"

It's the number one box-office champion but did the film live up to its hype?

Let's break it down, shall we?

*** The "Star Trek" teaser is great! Truth be told, it was one of the reasons I wanted to see the film, and shell out my own hard-earned cash! I love the "under construction" motiff, and sure enough, we see the Enterprise under construction. I can't wait for Christmas when the film is going to be unveiled.

Now, on to "Cloverfield."

*** The set-up is wonderful! I love the getting-to-know-the-characters technique via the digital camera at the going away party.

*** The performance is not pedantic by any means -- the actors are mostly unknowns, and their anonymity added mystery to the movie.

*** The little monsters that seemed to come out of the big monsters' booties are terrifying.

*** The big monsters, on the other hand, looked very "Godzilla-ish", the horrible 90s remake. I didn't specially enjoy the one scene when we get a closer look at one of the giant creatures.

*** There's one major scene where I actually screamed! So, it's not short on the scream factor.

*** The effects, from what we can see on the shaky, digital camera, are pretty good.

*** It's short (88 minutes) but the middle part is lagging.

*** These are some of the comments I heard from the viewers about the abrupt ending, "WHAT THE HECK," "OKAY....," "THAT'S IT?"

*** It's flawed, for instance, what camera batteries are they using? The film takes place about 12 hours, and I don't think there are any batteries that will last that long! ALSO, if New York City was pretty much wiped out, how did the camera and the tape inside survive?

*** So in the end, it's a pretty good monster film without a pretty good payoff. The film is like an "X-Files" prequel. After the government found the tape, I can see Mulder and Scully investigating the top secret file known as "Cloverfield." Now that's the "Cloverfield" film I'm dying to see.

*** My verdict? :2k

BRITNEY SPEARS -- MEMOIRS OF A MEDICATED CHILD?

Apparently, Miss Spears, the paparazzi magnet, is doing a film called "Memoirs of a Medicated Child."

What a fitting title, isn't it?

The movie even has a director assigned already, he's Tommy Parker, who really hasn't done a whole lot of writing or directing.

But wait there's more! There have been rumors that Canadian singer, Samantha Falk, is going to replace Spears. However, in a statement issued Friday, Falk announced her intention to back out of the film and maintains Spears is not part of the project.

She says, "After reading some of the articles and interviews, I would like to say officially at this point that I am removing myself from all dealings with this film/project. I do not appreciate being misled by Tommy Parker in this manner.

"To my knowledge Britney Spears is in no way attached to this film at this time. Tommy Parker can choose to say whatever he wants. However, myself along with my clients will not be a part of it!"

DRAMA!!!!

OLIVER STONE TO DIRECT JOSH BROLIN AS GEORGE W. BUSH!!!!

Oliver Stone, the controversial director who's made some searing films, has set his sights on his next directing project, "Bush," a film focusing on the life and presidency of George W. Bush, and attached Josh Brolin to play the title role.

The script is from his "Wall Street" co-writer Stanley Weiser.

Stone said he's not looking to make an anti-Bush film. His goal is to use seminal events in Bush's life to explain how he came to power, using a structure comparable to "The Queen."

Why did Stone choose Brolin to play the president? The director said, "Josh is actually better looking than Bush but has the same drive and charisma that Americans identify with Bush, who has some of that old-time movie-star swagger."

This is quite intriguing! I would love to see Stone humanize Bush, maybe make him a tad likeable and believable!
