NEW FILM FOR AMY RYAN, MY FAVE FROM "GONE BABY GONE" 


Amy Ryan, the lower-class Boston momma who lost her child in "Gone Baby Gone" and is posed to duke it out with Cate Blanchett from "I'm Not There" for the Best Supporting Actress Oscar has a new film!

She is going to co-star with Matt Damon and Greg Kinnear, to be directed by the groundbreaking helmer, Mister Paul Greengrass of "United 93" and "The Bourne Ultimatum" fame.

The film, still untitled, is an Iraq war thriller that's being shot in Spain for Universal Pictures!

ONLINE FILM CRITICS LOVE...YES..."NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN" 


The Coen brothers better clear their awards mantel because "No Country for Old Men" is getting more awards by the gazillions everyday!

The film was the big winner at the 11th annual Online Film Critics Society Awards.

"300" is one of the films nominated by the Cinema Audio Society.

The CAS awards go to production mixers and re-recording mixers for programs and films released or aired during the previous calendar year.

What's a Scripter Award you might ask? It recognizes the year's best cinematic translation from page to screen!

Author Cormac McCarthy will join writers-directors Joel and Ethan Coen for this honor!

KIDMAN QUITS "THE READER," WHO'S REPLACING HER? 
As I've reported earlier, Nicole Kidman bowed out of "The Reader" due to pregnancy. She and hubby, Keith Urban, are expecting their baby.

Kidman would have reteamed with her "The Hours" director, Stephen Daldry.
