OLIVER STONE TO DIRECT JOSH BROLIN AS GEORGE W. BUSH!!!!

Oliver Stone, the controversial director who's made some searing films, has set his sights on his next directing project, "Bush," a film focusing on the life and presidency of George W. Bush, and attached Josh Brolin to play the title role.

The script is from his "Wall Street" co-writer Stanley Weiser.

Stone said he's not looking to make an anti-Bush film. His goal is to use seminal events in Bush's life to explain how he came to power, using a structure comparable to "The Queen."

Why did Stone choose Brolin to play the president? The director said, "Josh is actually better looking than Bush but has the same drive and charisma that Americans identify with Bush, who has some of that old-time movie-star swagger."

This is quite intriguing! I would love to see Stone humanize Bush, maybe make him a tad likeable and believable!

R.I.P. -- SUZANNE PLESHETTE DIED OF LUNG CANCER AT 70

She battled crazy birds in Alfred Hitchcock's "The Birds" and she showed her impeccable comic timing in the classic 1970s sitcom, "The Bob Newhart Show," and now, Miss Suzanne Pleshette is dead at 70.

The illustrious actress died of respiratory failure Saturday evening at her Los Angeles home.

May she rest in peace...

KEANU WILL PLAY KLAATU, THE HUMANOID ALIEN!!!!

I've always suspected Keanu to be a friend from another planet, and now, he's playing the humanoid alien Klaatu in the reinvention of, "The Day the Earth Stood Still."

Jaden Smith, the fantastic son of Will Smith who stole his father's acting thunder in "The Pursuit of Happyness," is co-starring as the rebellious Jacob, the 8-year-old stepson of scientist Helen Benson (Jennifer Connelly) who first makes contact with Keanu/Klaatu.

Scott Derrickson is directing the contemporary reinvention of the 1951 Fox classic being produced by Erwin Stoff, Gregory Goodman and Paul Boardman.

I love the original film, so let's see if Hollywood can match it. At least the remake has a great cast...

I'M SAYING DEFINITELY, YES TO "DEFINITELY, MAYBE"

Alright y'all, just got back from my fave city in the world, New York City, from interviewing the cast of the new Universal Pictures film, "Definitely, Maybe."

This film will be released Valentine's Day!

You have to wait until then, for my review of the movie, but here's a quickie -- it's a fun, smart romantic whodunit, with a political twist! It's also a "chick flick" told from a guy's point of view! Intrigued?

Also, I had a blast interviewing the cast, here are some highlights:

RYAN REYNOLDS
-- We talked about his role, and how his character mirrors the rise and fall, and rise again, of the great Bill Clinton!

RACHEL WEISZ -- Her magical moment of the film? She sang, Broadway style, to Cole Porter's "I've Got a Crush on You." Does the Oscar winner sing in real life? Maybe karaoke?

ISLA FISHER -- I'm officially in love her! She's smart and funny, and very witty! Sacha Baron Cohen is one lucky man!

ABIGAIL BRESLIN
-- She named her turtle Manny! That's the quote of the day :)
