The first batch of new DVDs for 2009 are hitting store shelves! From a pair of potheads to an action duo, it's an interesting DVD buying and renting for everyone!
"PINEAPPLE EXPRESS" -- A fun-filled film, one of the funniest comedies of 2008.
"RIGHTEOUS KILL" -- Why would Robert DeNiro and Al Pacino subject themselves to this kind of pedantic, boring material?
"BANGKOK DANGEROUS" -- And why would Nicolas Cage subject himself to this kind of pedantic, boring material?
"THE WACKNESS" -- This is a good film about a young drug pusher, and the people around him.
"DISASTER MOVIE" -- Do we really need another spoof on popular culture? Um, no!

Two weeks after it debuted at No. 1, "Marley & Me" continues to dominate box-office, finishing first with $24.1 million raising its total to $106.5 million since opening Christmas day.
With no new wide releases, this weekend's box-office was like a Xerox copy of last weekend's with Adam Sandler's comedy "Bedtime Stories" in second place with $20.3 million.
Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett are enjoying box-office prosperity with their "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" (My No. 2 favorite film of the year) raking in $18.4 million to land at No. 3.

IESB is reporting the following items:
*** "Thor" will open July 16, 2010
*** Kenneth Branagh will direct and co-star in the movie
*** According to an early script, "the script dealt only with Thor in his native land of Asgard, his father issues with Odin and his battle with his brother turned evil-doer Loki with hopes of Asgard domination with no mention of the modern world."
*** The character of Donald Blake has added to the end of the script. (Donald Blake is, of course, Thor's mortal alter-ego)
*** The addition of Blake's character anchors this film into the present and the eventual start-up of "The Avengers" franchise where all the Marvel heroes gather up ala "The X-Men" to battle evil forces
*** Yes, Blake will discover the magical Norse hammer Mjoinir and becomes Thor!
As of now, no cast has been announced, so stay tuned.
