Will Elijah Wood Show Up as "Frodo" in "The Hobbit?"

Elijah Wood is in talks to return to Middle Earth in Peter Jackson's adaptation of "The Hobbit." According to TheOneRing.Net, "the plans are to feature Frodo in the opening sequence of the films. It is unlikely that studio Warner Bros. or Team Jackson would change the script at this point in response to the web buzz so we may have just “spoiled” December 2012 for some, but we warned you."

So, although Frodo doesn't appear on the book, it appears Jackson and company will frame the movie with Frodo's narration. The main character of "The Hobbit" is Bilbo Baggins to be played by Martin Freeman.

"Emily Rose" Director Wants to Fight "Goliath!"

Scott Derrickson, the guy who gave us "The Exorcism of Emily Rose," wants to direct a new take on the David vs. Goliath Biblical tale according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Like "300," this one will be a period action movie with contemporary flair. The plot follows warrior Goliath as he is sent to track down a young shepherd named David who is foretold to be the king of the Israelites. What follows next is a battle of Biblical proportions.

Eminem Wants to Be a Movie Star Again!

After his "Recovery" album became the top selling album of 2010, Eminem now wants to go back to acting. The rapper made his film debut in the memorable Curtis Hanson film, "8 Mile," and nine years later he's ready for his movie close-up again.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Eminem plans to star in a crime thriller called "Random Acts of Violence" for 20th Century Fox. The plot though, sounds more like a Dwayne Johnson vehicle.

The rapper will star as an ex-convict fresh from prison who is trying to be good but his former comrades are trying to pull him back in. To complicate matters, the FBI is using him to bring down his friends.

I don't know about the plot. It sounds hokey and unimaginative! Let's see if "Californication" writer-director David Von Ancken will come up with a good action flick.
