JUST ANNOUNCED -- THE NEW FILM BY THE GREAT COEN BROTHERS!!!!

The Coen Brothers are very busy, and honestly, good for them! They're reaping the rewards from their fantastic film, "No Country for Old Men," and I just heard, that they're going back to work with that film's producer, Scott Rudin, for their next movie. But more on that later.

First, the Coens just wrapped up "Burn After Reading" starring Brad Pitt and George Clooney. So they'll be busy with post-production on that film in time for its release on September 26th.

Then, they're supposed to be working on pre-production of the film "Hail Caesar" about a 1920's theater troupe who stages a production of Shakespeare's "Julius Caesar".

Then off to Focus Features the sibling will go for a film called "A Serious Man."

And then, they will team up with "No Country" producer Rudin for another Pulitzer Prize-winning author's novel. What is it? Read More...

WILL YOU WATCH ANOTHER "STAR WARS" FILM ON BIG SCREEN?

You may have no choice, because "Star Wars" is returning to the big screen in animated form, and this time, it's not 20th Century Fox who will distribute the film, but Warner Bros.

"STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS" WOULD HIT MOVIE THEATERS AUGUST 15TH!!!

"Clone Wars" is pretty much about the Jedi Knights and how they ensure the safety of the universe.

The film and TV-mini movies will feature favorite "Star Wars" heroes such as Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Padme Amidala. Palpatine, Count Dooku, and General Griveous will serve as the villains.

So what does executive producer and creator George Lucas say about the project? Read More...

"PASSION" CO-SCREENWRITER SUES MEL GIBSON!!!

Benedict Fitzgerald, who shared screenwriting credits with Mel Gibson for "The Passion of the Christ," is claiming he was misled by the actor-director into accepting a small payment for writing "The Passion of the Christ," and was refused extra money when the film became a blockbuster.

According to the lawsuit, Gibson told Fitzgerald that the movie would cost between $4 million to $7 million, and that the actor promised he wouldn't receive any money from the film and any profit would be distributed to people who worked on it.

But then, the film ended up making almost half-a-billion at the box-office!

Hhhhmmm....I'll keep you posted on this lawsuit, stay tuned!

ACTOR ROY SCHEIDER DIES AT 75

Roy Scheider was one of my favorite heroes as a kid! He battled the menacing shark in "Jaws," and ever since then, I always envisioned him when I was swimming (to help me forget the effective "don't go into the water" marketing ploy for "Jaws").

Scheider was also Oscar-nominated for "The French Connection" and "All That Jazz." Last Sunday, Scheider died at 75.
