I adore Mike White's creativity! Just look at some of the highlights of his resume:
"Freaks and Geeks," "Nacho Libre, "Them
"Them," "Nacho Libre," "The School of Rock," "The Good Girl," "Orange County," "Chuck & Buck"
"Chuck & Buck," "Orange County," "The Good Girl"
"Year of the Dog"
And to my surprise, I watched Sunday's season premiere of "The Amazing Race." White was there with his dad! And incidentally, both are gay and fighting for the race of their lives!
I love the show, I've been an "Amazing Race" addict since its first season, but I specifically don't want to meet the contestants until the show premiere. I don't want to have any preconceived notions about them! I'm a dork, yes.
So I'm clamoring for Team White, but I also love the mother and her hearing-impaired son!
Oh, here's the "Amazing Race" promo spot featuring White and his dad, Mel, just in case:

Did you see it last night during FOX's "House?" This one's called "Brothers."
If you didn't see it, here's the link, and don't forget to watch "American Idol" tonight to see the 3rd and final spot!
And then, we'll piece the puzzle together!

Elton John's Rocket Pictures is going to empower its Jane Austen-inspired characters and fight aliens!
This sounds goofy and hokey, and just may be what we need to reinvigorate a tired Austen franchise! The film's working title is "Pride and Predator"
Imagine the dramatic angle of aliens spooking Elizabeth Bennett and her sisters! And they don't even need Mr. Darcy to help! They can take care of their own alien-kicking, thank you very much!
The director is going to be Will Clark, who created an award-winning short film called "The Amazing Trousers." Clark also co-wrote the script with Andrew Kemble and John Pape.
One of the producers, David Furnish reveals:
"It felt like a fresh and funny way to blow apart the done-to-death Jane Austen genre by literally dropping this alien into the middle of a costume drama, where he stalks and slashes to horrific effect."
As for Mister Elton? No, he's not going to play the alien, but he will be supervising the music of the film!

This sounds exciting! According to Production Weekly, "Quantum of Solace's" director Marc Forster is thinking of directing a Kurt Cobain film for Universal.
Forster made Halle Berry an Oscar winner for "Monster's Ball," and helped Johnny Depp score a Best Actor nomination for "Finding Neverland."
So Forster has a good track record, even though I wasn't a big fan of the last Bond film. It is still unclear though whether this Cobain project is the one Courtney Love is producing based on the biography "Heavier than Heaven."
Love is, of course, Cobain's widow, and yes, actor James McAvoy was once rumored to star as the late Nirvana singer.
Oh, and Love wanted Scarlett Johansson to play her.

Shia LaBeouf's star vehicle, John Grisham's "The Associate," will be written by "The Departed's" William Monahan!
Monahan won an Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay in the Martin Scorsese crime drama. "The Associate" is right up Monahan's alley -- blackmails and sordid secrets!
