"Zombieland" debuted at No. 1, so there's the inevitable sequel. Writers Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese revealed to MTV News that yes, they're working on a sequel and they want the film to be in 3D!
Wernick says, “We want to stick with our dysfunctional family...but also introduce new characters.” That means Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Emma Stone, and Abigail Breslin may return for the sequel, along with new actors.
“We entirely want to write with 3-D in mind," Wernick admits. "We have the vision, and want to have fun with the technology.”
I can't wait for this! I enjoyed "Zombieland" and I can just imagine how the gore will play out in 3D!

My expectations were set very low for “The Wolfman,” Universal Pictures’ update of the 1941 film starring Lon Chaney, Jr. The production was beleaguered with problems ranging from changing directors to release dates being pushed back more times than we see Lawrence Talbot, the movie’s antagonist, transform into a werewolf.
But upon watching the film, I can tell you now that it’s not all that bad. “The Wolfman” is old school shockfest at its finest complete with Freudian overtones. The filmmakers chose to stick true to the mood of the original movie, a decision that is both a blessing and a curse. Read More...

The day I saw “Valentine’s Day,” I was saddened by the death of my cat. Begrudgingly, I went to the theater hoping the all-star cast would help brighten my day. Thank the film gods for “Valentine’s Day,” the film put me in a good mood.
The film is like one those sweet chocolate bonbons sold during Valentine’s Day. You know they’re bad for you but you love them anyway. “Valentine’s Day” is empty and shallow, but gosh darn it, it will make you feel really good. Read More...

As we told you back in May of 2008, Tom Cruise was in talks to star in "Mission Impossible IV" for Paramount Pictures.
And now, it's official! The star will return as Ethan Hunt in the fourth installment of the popular franchise. He will also produce the film along with J.J. Abrams and Bad Robot Productions.
Paramount will be releasing the film on Memorial Day weekend of 2011.
Brad Grey, CEO & Chairman of Paramount Pictures said, “Tom and J.J. are great talents and we are excited to be working with them to re-launch this legendary franchise."
Josh Applebaum and Andre Nemec are attached to write the script from an original idea by Cruise and Abrams. Both are currently on the hunt for a director.

Yes, there is going to be a big screen version of "24" starring Kiefer Sutherland. Just how serious are the folks behind Twentieth Century Fox and 20th Century Fox TV?
Serious enough that they have hired a screenwriter! Variety is saying that writer-director Billy Ray ("Breach," "Shattered Glass") is set to write the screenplay that finds Jack Bauer heading to Europe. And yes, Sutherland is supporting the pitch!
I think it's time for a "24" film, now that the series is losing steam both in the ratings and critical-rave categories.
