Moviegoers Prove They Love Liam Neeson When He Loses Things! "Unknown" Climbs to No. 1 with $21.8 Million!

It's official, Liam Neeson is in the business of losing things. In 2008's "Taken," Neeson's character lost his daughter and it became a bona fide box-office hit! Now, Neeson is having a severe case of identity theft in "Unknown" and the mystery thriller debuted at No. 1 with $21.8 million. (Check out my movie review of "Unknown" right here)

Meanwhile, "I Am Number Four," targeted at our youth market, failed to deliver. The sci-fi flick starring Alex Pettyfer only managed to debut at No. 2 with a less-than-expected $19.5 million. (Check out my movie review of "I Am Number Four" right here)

Disney's re-imagining of the William Shakespeare classic, "Gnomeo & Juliet," remained at No. 3 with $19.4 million. With a long President's Day weekend, No. 2 and No. 3 may switch rankings since "Gnomeo" is only a sliver away from "Number Four." So far, "Gnomeo & Juliet" has raised its total to $50.4 million.

Previous weekend's No. 1 champ, Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston's rom com "Just Go With It" fell to No. 4 with $18.2 million and has raised its total to $60.8 million.

Meanwhile, the weekend's other new wide release, "Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son" starring Martin Lawrence and Brandon T. Jackson debuted at No. 5 with $17 million. (Check out my fun interview with Jackson saying the world needed another "Big Momma" movie right here)

According to Hollywood.com, box-office is up 7.7 percent compared to the same weekend last year. BUT, compared to President's Day weekend last year, revenues were down 30 percent! Uh-oh.

Here's the estimated Top 10 films for President's Day weekend 2011, final tally will be released Tuesday, so let's wait and see if "I Am Number Four" will hold its No. 2 spot!

1. "Unknown," $21.8 million.
2. "I Am Number Four," $19.5 million.

3. "Gnomeo & Juliet," $19.4 million.
4. "Just Go With It," $18.2 million.
5. "Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son," $17 million.
6. "Justin Bieber: Never Say Never," $13.6 million.
7. "The King's Speech," $6.6 million.
8. "The Roommate," $4.1 million.
9. "The Eagle," $3.6 million.
10. "No Strings Attached," $3.1 million.
