Brandon T. Jackson Says the World Needs Another "Big Mommas" Movie! Check Out My Fun Interview!

"Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son" opens Friday, Feb. 18th, but the big question -- do we really need another "Big Momma" movie? I interviewed one of the stars of the film, Brandon T. Jackson, perhaps better known as rapper Alpa Chino in "Tropic Thunder."

He plays Trent, the stepson of Martin Lawrence's character. Jackson is also Charmaine, because like his stepfather, he's also a big momma, apparently.

In this interview, we talked about:

*** WHAT EVERYONE WANTS TO KNOW -- WHY MAKE ANOTHER "BIG MOMMA" MOVIE?
*** HOW DIFFICULT WAS IT TO GO INTO A FULL TRANSFORMATION AS CHARMAINE?
*** HOW WAS IT WORKING WITH MARTIN LAWRENCE?
*** WAS THE JOURNEY ALL WORTH IT?
*** HOW DID HE REACH INTO HIS INNER FEMININITY?
*** HE ONCE SAID THAT HE WANTED TO RESHAPE THE WORLD OF COMEDY INTO ONE THAT INSPIRES, TEACHES, AND UPLIFTS PEOPLE. DOES HE STILL ADHERE TO THAT CLAIM?

"Unknown" Movie Review -- How Many Kisses Does Liam Neeson Get?

No one could make a better identity crisis movie than the master himself, Alfred Hitchcock. From “North by Northwest” to “Vertigo,” the director was in the business of making movies featuring characters losing a sense of personal sameness and historical continuity.

The new identity crisis movie “Unknown” would have benefited from the expert hands of Hitchcock. Instead, what we got is a pedestrian film that was saved by Liam Neeson’s presence. Read More...

Is Guy Ritchie Directing "300" Sequel "Xerxes?" What's Happening to Original Director Zack Snyder?

Director Zack Snyder gave us the fantastic voyage known as "300" (and subsequently gave Gerard Butler his career), and was getting ready to direct his own script of the sequel, Frank Miller's "Xerxes." But now, Vulture is reporting that Warner Bros. offered the directing gig to "Sherlock Holmes" helmer, Guy Ritchie!

Theories abound as to why.

First, Vulture is saying that the studio needs Snyder to concentrate on his "Superman" version. Apparently, the upcoming Man of Steel movie has some major script problems, specifically its third act. Warner Bros. wants to move faster than a speeding bullet on the franchise because legally, production must move forward by 2013 or the studio loses its rights to the entire franchise.

But another theory that Vulture presupposes is more salacious!

Supposedly, the audience research screening of Snyder's upcoming "Sucker Punch" was HORRIBLE! It tested poorly. An insider revealed to Vulture that, “It was bad; like, really bad. They’re [Warners brass] really not happy with it over there.”

Is Warner's love for Snyder gone, gone, gone? His last two films for the studio namely "Watchmen" and "Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole" underperformed so there may be a kernel of truth to this rumor. (Check out my interview with Snyder for "The Legend of the Guardians" right here)

Let's wait and see if Ritchie is going to accept the job, and if he's going to overhaul Snyder's intended vision for "Xerxes."

Now this makes me want to see "Sucker Punch" more which opens March 25th!

I Love This! Michelle Pfeiffer May Join Tim Burton, Johnny Depp for "Dark Shadows!"

Previously, in 1992, Michelle Pfeiffer and Tim Burton teamed up for "Batman Returns" where the actress memorably played Catwoman. Now, the Hollywood Reporter is saying that Pfeiffer is in negotiations to return to the loving arms of the director for the big screen version of "Dark Shadows."

Based on the 1960s gothic vampire TV soap opera, the new version stars Johnny Depp as Barnaby Collins, a vampire living in Maine who is searching for his lost love.

The role Pfeiffer is in talks to play is Elizabeth Collins Stodard, the matriarch of the Collins family. She has an interesting arch -- she's reclusive, hidden in the Maine mansion since her husband disappeared a decade earlier.

It's all about love...and vampires...and werewolves. Hhhmmmm, echoes of "Twilight" anyone?

Burton is targeting an April start date and joining the cast are Jackie Earle Haley, Eva Green, and Bella Heathcote.
