As we told you in January, Robert Pattinson has signed to star in "Cosmopolis" from director David Cronenberg based on the novel by Don DeLillo. (See Robert Pattinson to Play Multi-Billionaire in David Cronenberg's "Cosmopolis")
Now comes casting news. Paul Giamatti and Matthieu Almaric have been confirmed, and joining them is the fantastic Juliette Binoche.
This project is a far cry for Cronenberg, known as the King of Venereal Horror or the Baron of Blood. "Cosmopolis" is not an outright bloody tale, but perhaps, the horrors are within a young billionaire (Pattinson) who hops in his limo to get a haircut but in a course of traveling across Manhattan, loses his fortune, cheats on his wife, and is threatened by two mysterious folks (one of them will be Giamatti).
It is still unclear what character Binoche would be playing, but can "Cosmopolis" elevate Pattinson's credibility? Can the dude act? From what he showed us in last year's "Remember Me," Pattinson has passion, he just needs a great director to help him, and I'm sure, Cronenberg would be happy to oblige (check out my interview with Pattinson for "Remember Me" right here).

Steve Carell is lining up work to ensure his career post NBC's "The Office." The actor is in talks to star opposite Meryl Streep in director David Frankel's "Great Hope Springs" according to Deadline.
Frankel, who worked with Streep in "The Devil Wears Prada," is directing from a script by Vanessa Taylor. This one's a drama where Carell would play marriage counselor Dr. Feld who is giving advice to a long-married couple (Streep and an undetermined actor, for now) so they could rekindle their marriage during a weekend of intensive therapy. It's like "Couples Retreat" but way smarter!
"Great Hope Springs" is set to begin production in August.

My reviews of the new films out this weekend! First, we have the Warner Brothers mystery-thriller "Unknown" starring Liam Neeson, January Jones, Diane Krueger, Aidan Quinn, Frank Langella, and Bruno Ganz from director Jaume Collet-Serra.
And then we have DreamWorks' "I Am Number Four" from director D.J. Caruso starring Alex Pettyfer, Timothy Olyphant, Teresa Palmer, Dianna Agron, and Kevin Durand.

Dimension Films has released a new poster for "Scream 4." It says "New decade. New Rules" and shows a knife-shaped version of the "Scream" mask we all know and love, or is it fear?
The film will open April 15 and the original stars return such as Neve Campbell, Courtney Cox, and David Arquette. The original director, Wes Craven, also makes a comeback. When I interviewed Kristen Bell for "Burlesque," she also mentioned a little bit about "Scream 4," check out the interview right here.
And here's the updated "Scream 4" trailer as well:

"Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son" opens Friday, Feb. 18th, but the big question -- do we really need another "Big Momma" movie? I interviewed one of the stars of the film, Brandon T. Jackson, perhaps better known as rapper Alpa Chino in "Tropic Thunder."
He plays Trent, the stepson of Martin Lawrence's character. Jackson is also Charmaine, because like his stepfather, he's also a big momma, apparently.
In this interview, we talked about:
*** WHAT EVERYONE WANTS TO KNOW -- WHY MAKE ANOTHER "BIG MOMMA" MOVIE?
*** HOW DIFFICULT WAS IT TO GO INTO A FULL TRANSFORMATION AS CHARMAINE?
*** HOW WAS IT WORKING WITH MARTIN LAWRENCE?
*** WAS THE JOURNEY ALL WORTH IT?
*** HOW DID HE REACH INTO HIS INNER FEMININITY?
*** HE ONCE SAID THAT HE WANTED TO RESHAPE THE WORLD OF COMEDY INTO ONE THAT INSPIRES, TEACHES, AND UPLIFTS PEOPLE. DOES HE STILL ADHERE TO THAT CLAIM?
