We Will Always Love Whitney Houston and Will See Her Upcoming Movie "Sparkle!'

Adele might have dominated the 2012 Grammys but the solemn spirit of Whitney Houston's untimely death marked the festivities. I grew up loving her songs in the 80s, humming to "I Will Always Love You" in the 90s, and even watching her movies throughout the decade such as "The Bodyguard" and "Waiting to Exhale." And in the 2000s, I was aghast at her rapid downfall marked by her appearance in "Being Bobby Brown."

But in August 17th of this year, Houston will once again take the center stage with her final film performance in Sony's "Sparkle." The studio has revealed that they will release the film as planned. Starring Jordin Sparks, the remake of the 1976 movie starring Irene Cara chronicles the rise of an all-girl singing group similar to the Supremes.

Houston plays the mother of three daughters who launch a singing group and according to the Hollywood Reporter, she "has a big gospel number, the classic "Eyes on the Sparrow" and duets with Sparks on a new R. Kelly song, "Celebrate," over the end credits."

We will watch "Sparkle" on August 17th to pay homage to the voice!

Opening Friday, February 10th, are “The Vow” for romantic drama lovers and “Journey 2: The Mysterious Island” for action fantasy fans. In “The Vow,” Rachel McAdams and Channing Tatum star in this true-life story of a couple whose vows are tested when the wife, Paige (McAdams), wakes up from a coma and does not remember her husband. It’s now up to Leo (Tatum) to make her love him all over again. Awwww…

Nikki Reed Does Not Want "Twilight" Franchise to End! Check Out My Fun Interview with the Actress About the DVD/Blu-Ray Release!

I enjoyed talking with Nikki Reed about the DVD/Blu-Ray release of “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1.” I’ve loved her since she starred in 2003’s “Thirteen” and she also co-wrote the movie with director Catherine Hardwicke, the first to helm the “Twilight” movie. In the “Twilight” movies, Reed plays the role of Rosalie Hale, a member of the Cullen family.

In this interview (watch below), we talked about:

*** Did she ever imagine that the “Twilight” franchise would be this big?
*** What initially attracted her to the Rosalie character?
*** What’s the most wonderful experience for her in making the “Twilight” saga?
*** What’s in store on the DVD and Blu-Ray release of Part 1?
*** What do we have to look forward to with Part 2?
*** It’s almost ending, any word to the fans?

“The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1” arrives on DVD/Blu-Ray on Friday, 2/10, midnight! The film stars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner and directed by Bill Condon from the novels by Stephenie Meyer
