Elizabeth Banks (Wyldstyle) Talks About THE LEGO MOVIE

Elizabeth Banks voices the heroine of “The Lego Movie” named Wyldstyle, a kickass fighter looking for the chosen one (Emmet voiced by Chris Pratt). From the writers/directors of “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs” and “21 Jump Street,” “The Lego Movie” is simply awesome!

I sat down with Banks to talk about her role, the movie, and the theme that resonated with her the most.

THE LEGO MOVIE Interviews with Writers/Director Christopher Miller and Phil Lord

First let me tell you how much I enjoyed “The Lego Movie.” It’s fun for kids but grown-ups will appreciate its satirical humor. And big credit goes to writers/directors Christopher Miller and Phil Lord (“Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs,” “21 Jump Street”)! And they conceptualized it too! And honestly, when I first heard Warner Bros. was planning to do a movie based on Lego, I was like, big groan! Not another movie based on a toy!

And then I saw the film, and true to its theme song, everything is awesome!

I sat down with Miller and Lord to talk about the film, the very first thing they put down on paper, the movie’s design, and yup, why it’s awesome!

I Can't Wait to see "Divergent!" Check Out New Trailer with Never-Before-Seen Footage!

Based on Veronica Roth's novel, the buzz surrounding "Divergent" is inescapable! But do you really know what "Divergent" means? No? Well, the new trailer with never-before-seen-footage can help! Check it out now:

Starring Shailene Woodley as the main charactrer Tris Prior, the buzz surrounding "Divergent" is similar to "The Hunger Games" franchise. Completing the cast are Theo James (Four), Miles Teller (Peter), and Zoë Kravitz (Christina). Oh yeah, we also have Tony Goldwyn, Ashley Judd, and the fantastic Kate Winslet! Yay! From director Neil Burger (I love his "The Illusionist"), "Divergent" heads to theaters on March 21. I can't wait!

Movie Reviews: “Labor Day” and “That Awkward Moment”

Two big movies this weekend, we have “Labor Day” for drama lovers and “That Awkward Moment” for comedy fans. In “Labor Day,” Kate Winslet and Josh Brolin star in the film adaptation of Joyce Maynard’s novel. Writer-director Jason Reitman follows “Young Adult” with a movie that is like a mom and pop version of an S & M flick.

In “That Awkward Moment,” Zac Efron, Miles Teller, and Michael B. Jordan star as bros who vow to be single forever and only date women casually. So, how is the quality of the film? Hint: this is from Tom Gormican, one of the producers of the much-hated “Movie 43.”

Take a look at my reviews of “Labor Day” and “That Awkward Moment.”
