LINDSAY LOHAN WANTS TO PLAY 1920'S STAR CLARA BOW!!!

According to Teen Hollywood, Lindsay Lohan wants to star in a biopic of controversial late silent movie star Clara Bow.

Bow, who died in 1965, was regarded by many as America's first sex symbol, but suffered several bouts of mental illness.

And Lohan - who posed as Bow for a magazine photoshoot in 2006 - claims she would be perfect for the role because she can relate to the 1920s starlet.

She says, "I definitely relate to a lot of the things that she went through. Not with her family, but the trials and tribulations of Hollywood, to an extent."

GOODBYE SAM RAIMI -- ELLEN PAGE DROPS OUT OF "HELL"

Ellen Page walked out of Sam Raimi's supernatural thriller "Drag Me to Hell" citing scheduling conflicts.

The super-hot actress is set to star in the psychological thriller "Peacock" and then she'll rollerblade in Drew Barrymore's directorial debut, "Whip It."

Apparently, with the impending SAG strike date, every studio is scrambling to make their films. So, some movies suffer like Sam Raimi's potential talker, "Drag Me to Hell."

I still can't get enough of that corny title though!

"SEMI PRO" SCORES AT THE BOX OFFICE -- BUT NOT A SLAM DUNK!!!

Even though it landed first on the box-office, "Semi Pro" is the weakest opener in Will Ferrell's resume. "Talladega Nights" opened at an astonishing $47 million in 2006, and last year, "Blades of Glory" took in an impressive $33 million its first weekend.

There are some factors to consider:

1) Audiences are probably getting tired of Ferrell's antics
2) The film is hurt by its "R" rating. Both "Talladega" and "Glory" received "PG-13" rating

The other big film with a better box-office take per screen is "The Other Boleyn Girl" starring Scarlet Johansson, Natalie Portman, and Eric Bana. Based on Philippa Gregory's novel, and written by Peter Morgan (he royally scored last year with the double whammy of "The Queen" and "The Last King of Scotland"), the film is a bit melodramatic (read: Soap Opera), but it's still quite entertaining and lavish!
