Okay, I love this movie! It inspired me to write a poetic review on print and TV. Heck, it also made me generous and I'm still giving away fantastic prizes courtesy of our friends from Twentieth Century Fox!
People, tall and small, enjoyed this film as well! It opened to a staggering sound of $45.1 million, giving it the best opening so far this year! It also is the biggest opening in recent years for Jim Carrey, who voiced Horton.
The previous weekend's No. 1 movie, the Warner Bros. action yarn "10,000 B.C.," slipped to second place with $16.4 million, raising its 10-day total to $61.2 million.
Summit Entertainment's "Never Back Down," about a troubled youth who finds purpose in the sport of mixed martial arts fighting, opened in third place with $8.6 million.

Okay y'all, the film opens on April 4th, so try to catch it! Why? In a nutshell, the movie, directed by George Clooney, succeeds in mixing period romance, drama, comedy, and football!
I'm not a big football fan (can't you tell?), but I enjoyed this movie!
Keep coming back right here, and I'll post my interviews with the cast. I had a blast interviewing Clooney, Renee Zelwegger, and John Krasinski! I felt love! I'll keep you posted

Director Bryan Singer said he has started working on "Superman: Man of Steel."
Singer took a lot of flak for his re-imagining of our iconic hero, Superman, in "Superman Returns."
I enjoyed that movie! I got what Singer was trying to do. An old-fashioned love story involving the man of steel.
But I guess, fans want more Super from Superman, so Singer is busy doing just that!
"I'm just getting back with writers after the strike. We're just in the development phase. I'm starting to develop a sequel...with the intention of directing it," Singer says.
About the negative reaction to the first film's focus on the drama instead of the action, Singer added, "The first one was a romantic film and a nostalgic film... And now that the characters are established, there's really an opportunity to up the threat levels."

This picture was supposed to be the make-up test run for the new Benicio Del Toro monster flick, "The Wolf Man."
We'll get into the blood-soaked pics later, but for now, here's some info about the film:
*** Joe Johnston ("Jurassic Park III") is directing
*** Anthony Hopkins will co-star as Sir John Talbot
*** Andrew Kevin ("Sleepy Hollow") co-wrote, with rewrites by David Self ("Road to Perdition")
*** Film opens Feb. 13, 2009 (why Valentine's Day? Sweethearts want to be scared?)
*** The plot -- Upon his return to his ancestral homeland, an American man (Del Toro) is bitten, and subsequently cursed by, a werewolf.
