"Green Lantern" in Glorious 3D! Oh Yeah, "Sucker Punch" as Well!

Oooooh, green!

Warner Bros. has announced that "The Green Lantern" will be released in 3D! Zach Snyder's action fantasy "Sucker Punch" is also going to be seen in 3D when it debuts in theaters March 25, 2011. "Green Lantern," the Ryan Reynolds-starrer, will open three months later on June 17.

See how "Avatar" changed the way we watch movies? Because of the success of the James Cameron masterpiece, every studio is following suit. Warner is releasing both "Clash of the Titans" (April 2) and "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part One" in 3D (Nov. 19). The second part of the "Harry Potter" finale will also be released in 3D on July 15, 2011.

But here's some food for thought -- the reason why "Avatar" was a 3D spectacle was because Cameron shot it in three dimension, I don't think the movies mentioned above from WB were shot in 3D, they are going to be simply transferred in 3D.

Big difference in look and style, don't you think?

Secrets of "The Ghost Writer!" My Special One-on-One Interviews with Pierce Brosnan and Olivia Williams

First of all, I enjoyed "The Ghost Writer." Roman Polanski is a brilliant director, one of the best working today, and the script co-written by Polanski with author Robert Harris is palpable, alive! (Check out my review of "The Ghost Writer" right here)

So go watch this Summit Entertainment film right now! Trust me, you'll love this unpredictable movie.

So, I met both Pierce Brosnan (Adam Lang) and Olivia Williams (Ruth Lang) at a press junket last weekend in NYC. They're both lovely! I interviewed Brosnan for "The Ghost Writer" and "Remember Me" with Robert Pattinson. I'll post that interview very soon, so keep tight!

Williams deserves an Oscar nomination for her performance as the long-suffering wife in "The Ghost Writer."

So without further adieu, here are my interviews with both Brosnan and Williams for "The Ghost Writer."

Would You Watch "Space Invaders" the Movie?

First there's Fox's plans to make a movie version of Missile Command, then Universal's grandiose schemes to turn Asteroids into a big screen project, now comes word that Warner Bros. is interested to turn Space Invaders, the granddaddy of all video games into an out-of-this world adventure!

The Los Angeles Times is reporting:

Warner Bros. is negotiating to acquire feature rights to the landmark shooter from Taito, the Japanese company that originally manufactured the game. If the rights issues all work out, the project would bring on Hollywood fixtures Mark Gordon, Jason Blum and Guymon Casady as producers.

What's next? Pac-Man?

Tim Burton, Timur Bekmambetov to Hunt Vampires with Abraham Lincoln

I thoroughly enjoy Seth Grahame-Smith's novels. He loves marrying genres to come up with truly original books. His "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies" novel, about, you guessed it, a mixture of Jane Austen and zombies, is set to be adapted by Lionsgate with Natalie Portman attached to star. (See Natalie Portman to Star in "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies")

Now, our friends from DeadlineHollywoodDaily.com told us that directors Tim Burton and Timur Bekmambetov ("Wanted") will produce a movie adaptation of "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter."

In the novel, Lincoln's mother was killed by a supernatural creature, so it became his lifelong passion to kill vampires and their slave-owning helpers. The beloved U.S. president metamorphosizes into an axe-throwing vampire hunter.

No word yet on who's directing or writing the screenplay. But who should star as the 16th U.S. president who can kick major vampire booty?
