Jessica Biel Takes a Stab at Making of Hitchcock's "Psycho!"

The cast is beginning to shape up!

Sacha Gervasi, the guy who gave us the fantastic 2008 mockumentary "Anvil! The Story of Anvil" and who co-wrote "The Terminal" starring Tom Hanks and directed by Steven Spielberg, wants to do a full-feature behind-the-scenes narrative of the Making of Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho simply titled "Alfred Hitchcock and the Making of Psycho."

John J. McLaughlin, the scriptwriter behind "Black Swan," penned the script. This film is supposed to examine the highs and lows of making the greatest slasher film of all time!

The behind-the-scenes look at a classic film is hot right now with the critical success of the Oscar-nominated "My Week with Marilyn." But will the cast receive Oscar nods like Michelle Williams in the film? We'll find out soon enough! But for now, we heard that Jessica Biel is set for the role of Vera Miles, the second female lead in the film within a film. In the original, Miles played Lila, the sister of Marion (Janet Leigh).

Here's the gallery of the rest of the cast:

Anthony Hopkins is set to play the greatest cinematic puppeteer of all time, Mister Alfred Hitchcock!

Scarlett Johansson is set to play one of the most memorable scream queens of all time, Janet Leigh, yup, Jamie Lee Curtis' mommy.

Helen Mirren will star as Hitchcock's wife and muse, Alma Reville.

James D'Arcy (Madonna's "W.E.") is reportedly set to play Anthony Perkins. Perfect!

Darren Aronofsky's "Noah" Gets Ready to Set Sail

Back in June of last year, we told you about Darren Aronofsky, the fantastic director who gave us "The Wrestler" and "Black Swan" among others, was shopping his edgy retelling of "Noah's Ark." (See Darren Aronofsky Wants to Sail "Noah's Ark!")

Now, Deadline is reporting that the deals for "Noah" are done with help from co-producing partners New Regency and Paramount. Shooting is expected to start in July and Russell Crowe is set as Noah.

Once upon a time, Christian Bale was Aronofsky's first choice but the actor's back-to-back schedule prohibited him from embarking on the journey. So now, it's up to Crowe to be both the master and commander of the ship.

John Logan ("Gladiator") reworked the script originally written by Aronofsky and Ari Handel.

I trust Aronofsky's instincts as a filmmaker so I think this film will float our boat! HA! (Check out my fun interview with the director for "The Wrestler" right here)

"The Hunger Games" Movie Review -- How Many Kisses Does Katniss Everdeen Get?

“The Hunger Games” is being described as the next “Harry Potter” and “Twilight” because of its massive fan base stemming from its literary origin. Many fans of the Suzanne Collins book could not wait to see the film.

Prior to watching the movie, I did not understand the hype surrounding “The Hunger Games.” But after spending nearly 2 ½ hours with Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence), I can now tell you that I’m a believer. “The Hunger Games” is truly the first blockbuster movie of 2012 that has surpassed my expectations. "Chronicle" Director to Develop "Red Star' Movie

I thoroughly enjoyed "Chronicle" so I was very happy to find out that the director, Josh Trank, is developing to direct "The Red Star" for Warner Bros. according to Deadline. This one's an adaptation of a graphic novel with a healthy set of 4 volumes! The script will be written by Jason Rothenberg and the film will be produced by Neal Moritz. Since "Chronicle" surprised everyone, Trank has been in-demand including talks to reboot "Fantastic Four" for Fox and the "Spider-Man" spinoff, "Venom," for Sony.

So what is "Red Star" all about? According to its Wiki page:

The Red Star is a comic book series by Christian Gossett set in a sci-fi/fantasy world described by Gossett as "Mythic [Soviet] Russia". The "Lands of The Red Star" were inspired by both Russian folklore and military history. The series is thus heavily reminiscent of a post-World War II Soviet Russia mixing technology and sorcery.

The 'United Republics of the Red Star', often simply called the
'State' in the comic, are shown to be coterminous with the historical Soviet Union in a map at the beginning of the first issue. The main enemy of the first novels, Al'Istaan, is a stand-in for historical Afghanistan and occupies a similar area of the map.

Technology and sorcery? Intriguing!
