New "Maleficent" Trailer -- Angelina Jolie with Wings!

I can't wait for "Maleficent!" Back in 2009, we broke this story about Angelina Jolie being offered the role of Maleficent for Disney's retelling of the Sleeping Beauty villain (See original story here)! Planned director, Brad Bird, has since been replaced by Robert Stromberg, but Jolie remained as the evil witch!

Well behold the new trailer for the film! This one almost makes you fall for her, feel sorry for her, it's all about vengeance! If the movie is successful in making Maleficent a tragic character, then it will be happily ever after! Take a look at the brand new trailer (trailer 3) of "Maleficent" below:

Here's more info on the plot and cast from its Wiki page:

Plot

"Maleficent" explores the untold story of Disney's most iconic villain from the 1959 classic Sleeping Beauty and the elements of her betrayal that ultimately turn her pure heart to stone. Driven by revenge and a fierce desire to protect the moors over which she presides, Maleficent (Angelina Jolie) cruelly places an irrevocable curse upon the human king's newborn infant Aurora. As the child grows, Aurora (Elle Fanning) is caught in the middle of the seething conflict between the forest kingdom she has grown to love and the human kingdom that holds her legacy. "The Single Moms Club" Movie Review -- How Many Kisses Does Tyler Perry Get?

Another year, another new Tyler Perry movie. This one’s called “The Single Moms Club” with Wendi McLendon-Covey, Cocoa Brown, Zulay Henao, Amy Smart, and Nia Long starring as the single moms of the title. Perry wrote and directed this film, but guess what? This one actually works! Why? Find out in my review.

My Fun Interview with Tyler Perry and Nia Long for THE SINGLE MOMS CLUB

I always enjoyed talking to Tyler Perry. Say what you want about the prolific writer/director but he’s doing his own thing and marching to his own beat! In his new movie, “The Single Moms Club,” Perry ditched his usual heavy-handedness and gave us a commendable film. Big credit goes to Nia Long and the rest of the “single moms” cast such as Wendy McLendon-Covey, Amy Smart, Zulay Henao, and Cocoa Brown.

In this interview, we talked about Perry’s interest in paying homage to single mothers, and Long’s attraction to her character. She was specifically happy that her son, Massai, played her real-life child in the film. Oh yeah, in the movie, Perry’s character said that Long has a lazy left eye. So I inspected it closer, and Perry was wrong!

Amy Smart and Wendi McLendon-Covey Interview for THE SINGLE MOMS CLUB

Tyler Perry’s “The Single Moms Club” is different from most of the director’s films. Yes, this one is also a romantic dramedy but the chemistry of the cast gels perfectly and you can feel a sense of improvisational comedy. And Perry’s trademark of heavy handedness is barely on screen and again, this project is elevated by the main cast.

I sat down with two of the “single moms” in the movie, Amy Smart and Wendi McLendon-Covey (“Reno 911,” “Bridesmaids”), to talk about working with Perry, their interest in making the movie, and Smart even talked about being “pounded,” a wink-wink nudge-nudge to the double entendre that was used in the film with the actress and her neighborhood crush played by William Levy.

Cocoa Brown and Zulay Henao Interview for THE SINGLE MOMS CLUB

I love these two! Cocoa Brown is a delight in the film (her scenes with Wendy McLendon-Covey are truly funny) and Zulay Henao brings the necessary “go girl” attitude. In the film, both play the “single moms” in the title with Brown dealing with an incessant child while Henao is raising a sassy daughter. Both must team up with Nia Long, Amy Smart, and McLendon-Covey in order to help their school raise money for their dance because their kids were caught doing bad things in school like tagging and smoking.

In this fun interview, we talked about their interest in working on the film, their characters, and the importance of forming your own Single Moms Club.
