"Forbidden Kingdom," the long-awaited pairing of Jackie Chan and Jet Li, won the box-office weekend with its $20.9 million take!
Meanhwile, the funny romantic comedy, "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" bowed at a comfortable no. 2 with $17.3 million box-office weekend total.
"Forbidden Kingdom" beat "Sarah Marshall" because of its two marquee stars, and its PG-13 rating. Meanwhile, "Marshall" had an R-rating and no big name box-office stars.
The previous weekend's No. 1 movie, the slasher remake "Prom Night," fell to third with $9.1 million, raising its total to $32.6 million.
Overall receipts were up for the first time in a month. The top 12 movies took in $82.1 million, up 12 percent from the same weekend last year.
