"Observe and Report" Movie Review -- No, This is Not "Paul Blart: Mall Cop!"

“Observe and Report” will be unjustly compared to “Paul Blart: Mall Cop” because both films feature main characters working as security guards in a mall. But the similarity ends there. “Observe and Report” is raw, edgy, and a far better film.

In “Observe and Report,” the mall cop is played by Seth Rogen (“Zack and Miri Make a Porno,” “Pineapple Express”). He stars as Ronnie Barnhardt, the head of security at the Forest Ridge Mall. He’s a man on a mission. Read More...

The Mask! The Mask! Exciting New Revelations About "H2: Halloween 2"

I enjoyed Rob Zombie's vision of "Halloween," so any news regarding the sequel is a joy for me!

Our friends at paid a visit to the set of "H2: Halloween 2" and spoke with Wayne Toth, special FX & make-up artist on both "Halloween" and "H2."

Toth revealed that Michael Myers will spend at least 70% of the film without the mask!

And there are different versions of the mask this time. Here's the excerpt of the article:

Myers, as played by Tyler Mane, will appear as the disheveled, bearded hulk we've seen in leaked set photos. "That's Michael's new look for a lot of the film. Fans will be shocked. They seem pretty responsive to it. But it's like anything else, as long as you're doing something cool, people get it."

The film is set roughly two years after Zombie's remake. Between films I'm told Myers has been living in the wild, exposed to the elements. A pic of Myers that was shown to me found him beneath a ragged hoodie, hair covering his dirtied face. He actually sorta resembles Zombie during his Hellbilly Deluxe days.

Toth assures us fans will see new interpretations of the Myers mask. "There are a couple different versions of the mask, but none of them are the same mask from the first film. He wanted to take them a step further, even though one of them is basically supposed to be the last mask. We've changed it anyway. Then towards the end of the film is the current version of the mask which is a lot different from any of them we've seen. People are going to be surprised when they see it. It's going to thrown the Myers fans for a loop."

What Hugh Jackman Thinks of the "Wolverine" Leak! It's Breaking His Heart!

AdelaideNow, an Australian newspaper, spoke with actor Hugh Jackman about his upcoming film "X-Men Origins: Wolverine." Of course, the biggest chunk of the interview was devoted towards the film being leaked online a month before its official release!

Here are some interesting tidbits from the article:

"It's a serious crime and there's no doubt it's very disappointing - I was heartbroken by it,'' Jackman said.

"Obviously people are seeing an unfinished film. It's like a Ferrari without a paint job.''

Jackman said he was heartened by the fact that the majority of the online community had condemned the leak and thought fans would still go to see it at the movies on April 29 (May 1 in the US).

And he promised the culprit would be caught.

"The FBI are onto it and they're taking it very very seriously,'' he said.

"Rest assured that person will be found.''

So folks, watch the film when it comes out May 1, and don't break Jackman's heart!

No More "Pirates" Life for Director Gore Verbinski BUT He'll Still Work with Johnny Depp!

Batten down the hatches and man the sails, director Gore Verbinski has informed Disney and producer Jerry Bruckheimer that he will not helm the fourth film of the "Pirates of the Caribbean" franchise.

The installment is supposed to set in 2010 with Johnny Depp returning as Captain Jack Sparrow.

But Verbinksi is still working with Depp with his animated flick "Rango" for Paramount Pictures. The actor is voicing the title character. The flick will come out on March 2011.

When asked what he really thinks of the $2.6 billion worldwide-grossing "Pirates" franchise? Verbinski revealed:

"I had a fantastic time bringing 'Pirates' to life, and I am eternally grateful to Jerry, Johnny and the rest of the creative and production team," Verbinski said. "I'm looking forward to all of us crossing paths again in the future."

The director will next focus all his energy to adapting the bestselling videogame "Bioshock" for Universal Pictures.
