William Hurt Joins Russell Crowe, Cate Blanchett in Robin Hood Movie

Okay, so the cast is almost complete, but the title of the new Robin Hood film is still up in the air!

Ridley Scott is re-teaming with his favorite actor Russell Crowe for the film. And so far, Crowe is set to play Robin Hood while Cate Blanchett is going to star as Maid Marian.

Now, William Hurt joins the production as William Marshall, the Earl of Pembroke. He's supposed to be a historical figure known as one of the best jousters of the era!

As far as the Merry Men? Scott Grimes, Kevin Durand, and Alan Doyle are set to co-star.

The film is written by Brian Helgeland, Oscar winner for "L.A. Confidential."

The production is filming right now in the U.K.

Brad Pitt's production company, Plan B, and Paramount Pictures hired "Watchmen's" Alex Tse to adapt the graphic novel "Battling Boy."

The plot, according to The Hollywood Reporter:

The story line follows the son of a god who comes down from the top of a mountain at his father's urging to rid the giant, continent-sized city of Monstropolis of a plague of beasts.

Hhhmmmm, interesting! Very mythical!

"Public Enemies" Trailer No. 2
Here's the second, full trailer for the upcoming film "Public Enemies" starring Johnny Depp, Christian Bale, and Marion Cottilard (she was fantastic as Edith Piaf in "La Vie En Rose").

I can't wait to see this film! With an outstanding cast, and a great director (Michael Mann), this should be an entertaining and cerebral experience!

"Public Enemies" - Trailer 2

The Feds try to take down notorious American gangsters John Dillinger (Johnny Depp), Baby Face Nelson (Stephen Graham) and Pretty Boy Floyd (Channing Tatum) during a booming crime wave in the 1930s.

"Fast and Furious 5!" Paul Walker Reveals Plans for Fifth Film! They're Going to Brazil!

Okay, so "Fast and Furious" opened big! In the US, the fourth film in the franchise opened with $72.5 million in ticket sales.

And in the international market, the film's total is topping $200 million.

So no wonder, the producers and the main cast are planning their fifth film of the franchise!

But they better do this right this time, because honestly? The fourth film was the weakest of the bunch!

Paul Walker visited Los Angeles radio show Valentine in the Morning and said, "This was supposed to be it... Without question, the way that thing's opened up, Vin (Diesel, co-star) and I will be coming back. We're making a fifth one and we're going to Brazil. That's it!

"And I don't think the best one (film) has been done yet. I think we could easily come back and make the best one."

I'm keeping my fingers crossed Mister Paul, I hope you're right! Make the best one, and end the franchise on a high note!

From Werewolf to Vampire: Michael Sheen Signs On for "The Twilight Saga: New Moon"

Michael Sheen
(the great actor who channeled Tony Blair in "The Queen" and Sir David Frost in "Frost/Nixon") is set to star as a bloodsucking vampire in the "Twilight" sequel, "New Moon."

Sheen also starred as the werewolf Lucian in the "Underworld" franchise.

The actor will play the character Aro - the leader of an Italian vampire clan called the Volturi.

"New Moon" Director Chris Weitz says, "Michael’s role is so important because he’s the head of all vampires. Aro is, on the surface, a very gracious and friendly vampire, but beneath that he is a tremendous threat."

"New Moon," just like the book, takes on the myth-building allegories between werewolves and vampires. And it's interesting that Weitz is casting great actors for the supporting roles.
