"The Girl with the Red Riding Hood" Finds Boyfriend!

As we told you last February, "Dear John's" Amanda Seyfried will star as Red Riding Hood in a visualized Gothic version of the popular fairy tale. David Leslie Johnson, the guy who wrote "Orphan," is penning the screenplay for "Twilight" director Catherine Hardwicke.

Now, Shiloh Fernandez (pictured above) is set to star as the male romantic lead of Seyfried who will play a woman in a medieval village being terrorized by a werewolf according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Apparently, Fernandez auditioned for the role seven times before landing the part of Peter, an orphaned woodcutter who falls for Seyfried.

Fernandez also screen-tested for the role of Edward for "Twilight" that eventually went to Robert Pattinson. The actor also tried for the lead role in "Speed Racer" that Emile Hirsch portrayed.

Leonardo DiCaprio is producing through his Appian Way shingle. Warner Bros. will be distributing the film.

James Bond's Licence to Kill Revoked...For Now! Latest 007 Film Delayed Indefinitely

Our friends at ComingSoon.Net told us that "007 producers, Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli of EON Productions, announced they have suspended development on the next James Bond film previously scheduled for release 2011/2012."

Who are the producers blaming? The future of MGM! Wilson and Broccoli said in a joint statement, "Due to the continuing uncertainty surrounding the future of MGM and the failure to close a sale of the studio, we have suspended development on 'Bond 23' indefinitely. We do not know when development will resume and do not have a date for the release of 'Bond 23."

So James Bond may be dead for now, but we all know, the franchise will keep on ticking, it might as well die another day! :happy

But will Daniel Craig still be the Bond of this generation? Stay tuned...

Seth Rogen Tops Hardest Working Actors List

Forbes Magazine has published a list of the hard-working actors! No, it's not about our talented actors who all go Method acting on us, but thespians who starred in films that earned the most money! It's a business magazine after all.

So in order to compile their rankings, our friendly Forbes folks "considered all movies released between January 2005 and December 2009 that earned more than $20 million at the U.S. box office (559 films total). Based on data from Exhibitor Relations, we tallied which actors had the most starring or significant roles in those movies, with ties broken by cumulative box-office totals. By drawing a line based on box-office returns, the list also selects for the stars whose work is most effective for the studios."

And the No. 1 hardest working actor in the biz? No other than the uber-busy Seth Rogen who starred in 12 films with a cumulative total of $892 million! From "Knocked Up" to "Kung Fu Panda," Rogen's movies made lots of cash.

Gwyneth Paltrow Will Not Be Nicole Kidman's Wife, Star Leaves "The Danish Girl!" But Wait, There's More!

What's going on with "The Danish Girl?" First, Charlize Theron ditched the Nicole Kidman-starrer, then she was replaced by Gwyneth Paltrow. Now, Paltrow also said "Farvel," that's Danish for goodbye :happy

Based on David Ebershoff novel, the film tells the story of a relationship between the first post-operative transsexual, Einar Wegener (Kidman), and his wife Greta. Paltrow was supposed to play the wife.

The brilliant Swedish director, Tomas Alfredson, who gave us the equally brilliant "Let the Right One In" is set to helm.

According to the Daily Mail:

Gwyneth Paltrow has pulled out of her latest film "The Danish Girl" to spend time with her family.

The 37-year-old has just finished shooting Love Don't Let Me Down in Tennessee and was to start work on the new film with Nicole Kidman.

But Gwyneth, who has two children with Chris Martin, dropped out, saying: 'Some days I feel like everyone in my world has plugged themselves into my kidneys. I'm so tired.'

Was Paltrow really tired, or was it all Kidman's fault? Read on:

A source said: 'Nicole lives in Nashville not far from where Gwyneth, has been working on her latest movie for five weeks.

'Gwyneth made the effort to get in touch with Nicole but Nicole declined.'

Gwyneth, 37, whose family was in the UK, was said to have been lonely in Nashville.

'Gwyneth is on her own and lonely, it would have been nice for Nicole to make the effort.'

So was that Theron's reasoning for leaving the production too? Kidman just didn't make herself more accommodating and available to her co-stars?

Regardless, I'll still watch this film for it's intriguing factor. Well, I'll watch it when they finally finished the film with the right co-star!

Get Ready for "Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus" the Movie!

First of all, isn't this decision from Summit Entertainment to acquire film and TV rights to John Gray's "Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus" a bit late? I think, culturally, we've all moved on past the Mars/Venus phenomena, BUT, the property has sold 50 million books in 45 territories worldwide, so this may be a wise choice.

But what will the movie be about? Gail Berman and Lloyd Braun have been set to produce via their BermanBraun banner, and according to The Hollywood Reporter, "the producers weren't ready to tip their hand about what direction the film might take, saying it was still in early development, but the moniker suggests the possibility of a high-concept ensemble comedy along the lines of the hit 2009 release "He's Just Not That Into You."'

Oh yes, another romantic comedy about the battle of the sexes, brilliant!

But Berman served as an executive producer on "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," one of my favorite TV shows of all time, so I'm giving this project the benefit of the doubt!

Berman and Braun even went on saying that the Mars/Venus franchise is "the Rosetta Stone for understanding the opposite sex."

Wow, the Rosetta Stone!
