Who Should Play "Captain America's" Girlfriend Peggy Carter?

British actress, Alice Eve, may land the role of Peggy Carter, Captain America's girlfriend, in the upcoming film "The First Avenger: Captain America" according to E!Online.

I sure hope so. Eve is such a sweet, sweet person with impeccable timing as an actress! (Check out her new film "She's Out of My League" with Jay Baruchel, and check out my fun interview with Eve right here)

Eve is also starring in the "Sex and the City" sequel out next month as Charlotte's nanny.

But before Eve lands the prime "Captain America" role, she must first beat fellow Brit Hayley Atwell. E!Online confirmed that both actresses are screen-testing for the second time in London. Good luck to both, but my heart belongs to Eve.

Oh, and I also heard that Keira Knightley, who was in the running, dropped out!

So if Eve gets the part, she'll be joining Chris Evans as our hero, and "Gossip Girl's" Sebastian Stan as Captain America's sidekick James "Bucky" Barnes.

Jon Favreau Tweets 'Harrison Ford Joins "Cowboys & Aliens"'

Jon Favreau revealed that Harrison Ford is joining the cast of the sci-fi western extravaganza "Cowboys & Aliens" via Twitter. He tweeted: "Please stop asking if Harrison Ford is in "Cowboys & Aliens." Okay? He is. Please don't tell anybody." Of course we'll tell everybody!

Ford joins Daniel Craig (who replaced Robert Downey Jr.) and Olivia Wilde in this adaptation of the popular 2006 graphic novel from Scott Mitchell Rosenberg. It's about extraterrestrials who land in Arizona in the mid-19th century. Now, a group of cowboys and Apache Indians must bond together to fight these out-of-this world creatures.

The film written by "Star Trek" vets Roberto Orci, Alex Kurtzman and Damon Lindelof is being produced by DreamWorks which is planning to release the movie on July 29, 2011. Shooting is set to begin this July.

Ryan Reynolds Passionate About "R.I.P.D.?"

I'm hearing that Ryan Reynolds is really, really passionate about making "R.I.P.D." Short for the Rest In Peace Department, the film, based on Peter Lenkov's Dark Horse graphic novel, features two dead cops, one recently deceased (Reynolds) and the other died centuries ago.

Adapted by Matt Manfredi and Phil Hay, Universal Pictures is currently in search of a new director (David Dobkin was previously attached but scheduling problems prevented the helmer to work on the film) and a star to play alongside Reynolds. Apparently, the studio wants a funny man to co-star.

Winona Ryder Gets Her Groove Back by Cheating!

As we told you in January, Ron Howard was set to direct Vince Vaughn in a comedy about cheating from Universal Pictures! The film, previously called "Cheaters," is getting ready to go on production in Chicago in May with Kevin James, and now, EW.com is reporting, Winona Ryder just landed the plum female lead!

Ryder beat out a slew of other actresses to land the role of Geneva, James' wife. The actress outshone the likes of Kate Beckinsale, Carla Gugino, and Uma Thurman. Go Winona!

I've always thought that Ryder is a great actress who just happened to fall from grace because of her shoplifting ways. That incident happened a long time ago, and it's about damn time that Ryder gets her groove back.

So why is the role so coveted? EW.com revealed that the movie written by Allan Loeb, "centers on two best friends, played by James and Vaughn. When Vaughn’s character discovers that James’ wife (Ryder) has cheated on his best friend, he confronts her directly and must decide whether or not he will tell his friend. (Thus, the film often pits Ryder’s character opposite Vaughn’s.)"

I can already see sparks fly between Ryder, Vaughn, and James. Plus, Howard hasn't directed a comedy since 1999's "EdTV" so I'm curious to see if he can still make a funny film.
