See New Trailer for Baz Luhrmann's "The Great Gatsby!" Big Stars, Big Sets!
We haven't seen a new Baz Luhrmann movie since the failed 2008's "Australia!" And now, the director is back with a vengeance! See the new trailer for his 3D extravaganza featuring Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire, and Carey Mulligan. "The Great Gatsby" opens Christmas Day and I can't wait!

Here's more on "The Great Gatsby" from Yahoo:

Would-be writer Nick Carraway leaves the Midwest and comes to New York City in the spring of 1922, an era of loosening morals, glittering jazz and bootleg kings. Chasing his own American Dream, Nick lands next door to a mysterious, party-giving millionaire Jay Gatsby, and across the bay from his cousin Daisy and her philandering, blue-blooded husband, Tom Buchanan. It is thus that Nick is drawn into the captivating world of the super rich, their illusions, loves and deceits. As Nick bears witness, within and without the world he inhabits, he pens a tale of impossible love, incorruptible dreams and high-octane tragedy, and holds a mirror to our own modern times and struggles.

"Men in Black III" Movie Review -- How Many Kisses Do Will Smith, Tommy Lee Jones, and Josh Brolin Get?

“Men in Black” takes a cue from “Back to the Future” for the franchise’s third installment. This one’s a time-traveling romp and I’m happy to report that it’s a journey worth taking.

“Men in Black III” was plagued with production problems namely script rewrites and reshoots. I had no faith for the threequel but to my amazement, my doubts were erased just like how the movie’s neuralyzer would. Read More...

Sorry Saoirse Ronan Fans But Disney Cancels Snow White Movie!

Walt Disney Pictures, fresh from the billion-dollar success of "The Avengers," has canceled "Order of the Seven," a revisionist take on Snow White. Why? Because Walt Disney Pictures is abandoning everything we know and love about the studio and is embracing the superhero genre hook, line, and sinker.

Just kidding.

Deadline tells us the reason is its way-out-of-control budget in the $150 million range or higher! Saoirse Ronan was attached to star as the female lead and the movie was supposed to be set in Asia with a Samurai theme.

That's kind of sad. I could already picture Ronan as a fierce Snow White. (Check out my review with the fantastic young actress for "Hanna" right here)

But really, after the lukewarm "Mirror Mirror" and the upcoming "Snow White and the Huntsman," do we really need another Snow White? I'd rather stay home and watch the classic "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs," right Disney?

Bill Murray Takes Us Inside "Moonrise Kingdom!"

I can't wait to see "Moonrise Kingdom!" I adore director Wes Anderson ("The Fantastic Mr. Fox," "The Royal Tenenbaums," "Rushmore," "Bottle Rocker" among many others) and I trust that his latest is a worthy addition to his impressive work. I will be interviewing the cast next week, so I'll give you an update!

For now, let's see the great Bill Murray (Anderson's lucky charm) give us a tour of the "Moonrise Kingdom" set. True to the actor's wry wit, this one is an entertaining production visage. He claims co-star Bruce Willis is "typecast" and calls Tilda Swinton "pretty...and can do whatever she likes."

"Moonrise Kingdom" opens in limited release this Friday. Click here for more info on the movie.

See New Trailer for Paul Thomas Anderson's Anti-Scientology Movie "The Master!"
Like you, I love 2007's "There Will Be Blood," yet, Paul Thomas Anderson has not made a movie since then...until now! This one's called "The Master" and is supposedly inspired by Scientology and its founder L. Ron Hubbard according to Gawker. The highly-anticipated film tells the story of a charismatic intellectual who starts a cult called "The Cause." Philip Seymour Hoffman is "The Master," cult leader Lancaster Dodd, and Joaquin Phoenix (welcome back!) is drifter Freddie Quell who was the Master's right-hand man until he starts questioning The Cause. Amy Adams, Laura Dern, Rami Malek, Ambyr Childers, and Jesse Plemons co-star in this Oscar hopeful opening October 12th of this year. Check out the teaser/trailer below and Phoenix's taut acting:
